We were lucky to catch up with Cory R. recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Cory thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
So far its my recent project but it was something I had to get out, “Eyes That Adore” is my first EP a prequel to what’s to come. With these 4 tracks I had to open up about past distractions to help me cope with certain pain. From losing certain family to jail or death made me walk different paths. At one point I was emotionless until I left those things in the past.
Cory , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I try to provide what’s needed, as far as to how I started this it all began with the things that inspired me. Music, art, dance and cinematography. Anything is possible if you’re inspired or if you believe in yourself and that’s what gives me the strength to unify and inspire others. What I’m most proud of is that I get to try to heal the world with my Inspirations.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yes to better than I was yesterday. As an artist you can be happy about completing something but it’s always that feeling of “ yeah but I could’ve did this better” or the next one has to be bigger. My adversary is my mind sometimes so the goal is always “what’s next”.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Seeing the reaction from people is always rewarding or building a bond upon expressing my creativity with them. I’ve met amazing people on my journey and i hope to meet more and heal the world.
