We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Chantel Price a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Chantel thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
The mission of my agency is to be of service be kind to everyone, create results and most importantly increase my clients awareness & sales.
Chantel, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hello everyone. My name is Chantel Price. I’m a 34 year old mother and serial entrepreneur. I own a few different companies (business Financial consulting firm, performing arts theatre and dance studio). My name Focus though is the business Consulting firm. Here I take clients ideas to be heights. Whether you a new or existing business, I create you a plan to elevate your company. I’m a one stop shop. From legalization, website building, Bookkeeping, taxes and so much more.
I got interested in business because of my father. He is a entrepreneur with many talents. But ultimately i feel in love with business when I went to high school. I was in the business academy and that’s where it all started. I started going to Walmart buying snacks and selling them at school. I also to charged people to do there homework and projects. I always been a hustler.
What I do for my clients is organize their thoughts and ideas. We all have great ideas but some don’t know how to execute them. This is where I come into play. I create strategies to give them the competitive advantage in their market.
What sets me aside from other consultants is being a “one stop business shop”. We offer different packages and services for everyone. We handle all clients big or small.
I’m most proud of being able to help being achieve there dreams. I’m the support system and accountability partner that every business owner needs.
I want potential clients to know once you are a client of ours you become family. We hold you to a standard of excellence you can be proud of. Don’t be afraid of failure. Be afraid of regrets.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
In business we all try to balance personal and business life. In 2019 I lost my mom during the busiest time for my company. This would have broke some people. But for me it made me turn up 200%. I knew that no matter what I had to keep pushing because there was a lot of people depending on me.
During this period I had to learn how to work on myself, while continuing the business journey. Getting therapy, trusting my staff more and allowing this to flow.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to learn that loyalty has a expiration date. Everyone isn’t meant to climb that mountain of success with you. It’s hard enough climbing a mountain by yourself. If that extra weight is pulling you down, let it go.
I had this concept of survivor remorse. For me I felt I had to help everyone (family/friends). They begin to burn me out with there demands and basically using me.
I had to come to drips with making every relationship beneficial. If it’s not beneficial both ways. Then let the relationship go.
