We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Camille Scott. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Camille below.
Camille, appreciate you joining us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
Can anyone achieve great success without taking the slightest risk? 5-6 days a week I was instructing lessons followed by stretching and delivering 250+ pizzas, and gigging on Sundays. I would then come home from work and continue engineering my musical projects. It was the commencement of the Pandemic (I’m over it too) where I found myself, exhausted and broke.
Who knew one $110 investment into an online financial literacy course could be such a catalyst into a lifestyle of financial independence? I’m not sure it was the best financial decision at the time, however it was most certainly a pivotal point in my life. I decided to exit the Rat Race, arming myself with a deep thirst for constant self development.
Earning my real estate license was the culmination of the following: countless hours of studying; stock market losses and a burning passion to make a change in my community. Disregarding the cyclical nature of self-employment, it turned out pretty awesome!
Camille, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Failure defeats losers, and it inspires winners. The belief or disbelief in that statement makes success either intangible or inevitable for you.
I am a passionate real estate strategist. I use intuitive knowledge of the local market and the real estate process to help renters, buyers and sellers make wise decisions and feel confident about those decisions. My passion for real estate stems from the lack of wealth and passive income within my own family and community.
I am equally passionate about healing myself and others through musical therapy, as I am a professional musician and instructor of piano, drums and music production.
The tri-rhombi brand E.Rapport™ symbolizes love, peace and unity. In order for us as a human race to achieve harmonious living, we must first build Exceptional Rapport™ with one another. It is this profoundly optimistic vision that E. Rapport embodies.
Ultimately, I find fulfillment in serving my community through real estate advising as well as sharing musical experiences.
Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, is known as the foundation of financial literacy for most. It is a must read for those who are being introduced to the radical concept known as financial freedom. The list can go on and on, but here’s a few more books: Big Money Energy by Ryan Serhant, Atomic Habits by James Clear, and The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel. As far as financial literacy courses go, I owe much thanks to Charles Oglesby lll, the founder of ToddCapital.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Authenticity, brand consistency and constantly growing my network by building genuine rapport.
