We recently connected with Victoria Todd and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Victoria thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Risk taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
One the biggest risks for me was launching VivaVik Artistry. I rebranded into VivaVik Artistry during a time recovering from a horrible car accident. I was told by multiple Doctors & specialist that I’d never be able to walk or function as normal again. I’m a woman of Faith. God told me to break down my old and to plan my new business in my hospital bed. I did just that. He helped me to structure it brick by brick and it wasn’t easy. I had to believe God’s promise with all odds against me. During the hardest moment of my life, God fulfilled his promise and healed me that same year! When I was given the moment to launch, every dream I prayed for since I was young happened. I got my first Celebrity client, have done multiple fashion shows, asked to do film makeup, viral SFX makeup looks, out of town weddings, divine partnerships to give back to the community, magazine features, speaking engagements, empowerment events, and so much more.
The blessing was in taking the risk, when no one could see past my current situation and it changed my life forever. Faith in God is the key to life and I’m grateful for every moment of my experience. Through my life, I’m now able to guide people in theirs.
I’ll say this, take the risk despite what you see. Your current situation is molding you into who you’re meant to be. You won’t run into it if you don’t jump off the ground.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
Well I started doing makeup in high school. We had a free period and I did light makeovers during it. One moment, I decided to offer a makeover to a young lady who was looked down upon. We talked during and as I learned her story it touched me. I showed her the final look and she cried expressing how she needed that time and felt beautiful. That day and moment became my reason and I learned my purpose. Helping a person to feel the beauty on the inside, out.
Now I offer full glam makeup services, special effect makeup, wig installs, custom clothing designs, custom wig units and products, clarity calls, life coaching, mentoring, public speaking, and community service. We focus on helping a person to feel the beauty on the inside, out and empowerment through Christ.
Some of the greatest moments is having clients that back everything you do because they’ve had a Vivafied experience in your chair or a breakthrough over the phone. I’m grateful for them. They make it all worth it.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I’m really big on special effects makeup. It’s not commonly seen where I’m from, so when I started posting it grabbed a lot of attention. People drew to my craft along with me posting words that inspire people through their situations. I’m a natural teacher, artist, and supporter. I share my craft and show love to people like I’ve known them all my life and it’s given back to me.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective thing to grow my clientele has been consistency. Even when you’re tired, consistency gives a level of expectation. Scheduling my posts and creating content when I have the energy helped drastically. Having visuals that people can see brought in a lot of attention and most importantly supporting others genuinely.
