We were lucky to catch up with Apocalyps Records recently and have shared our conversation below.
Apocalyps, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Taking care of customers isn’t just good business – it is often one of the main reasons folks went into business in the first place. So, we’d love to get a conversation going around how to best help listeners feel appreciated – maybe you can share something you’ve done or seen someone do that’s been really effective at helping a customer feel valued?
Something I have done to make a customer feel appreciate is add additional items to there packages without them knowing and also giving hand written thank you letters to let the customers know that their support never goes unnoticed also delivering packages personally to the customers so they can have there order the same day they paid for it online

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
Apocalyps Records is an indie record label consisting of three artist so far Zell, Swank and Just-Johnny from the city of Cleveland, Ohio. The name Apocalyps Records originated from Zell’s Uncle’s music group that largely inspired and shaped a lot of his music skills today. The core value of the label is a passion for music and performance that lets the listeners into the everyday struggles of the artists. The label is about transparency and for the listener to be able to feel like they’re not alone in what they deal with while also giving stellar bars.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
A lesson that had to be unlearned was not taking everyone’s word as bond. Always get contracts and collaborations on paper document. As a business things perform best when completed in timely manners but unfortunately every person does not communicate hiccups effectively. So it’s imperative to get paperwork just incase people ghost you or don’t follow through with timelines.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Touring and word of mouth. Being amongst the different people while on tour, taking pictures, interacting has been the best way to bring new listeners. Putting on a great performance is a vital part and content is a vital part of growth but as of lately traveling to different cities and meeting people has been a key role in growing socials and increasing platform listens.
