Hi Chasittie, thanks for joining us today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
I always go over and beyond for my customers without them their would be no Sweets N Things. I’m always grateful for every customer that has supported my business in any way.
My customers always tell me eating my treats just makes their day they can taste the love in every bit. So that along makes me proud because I put my heart in my treats.
Since I’ve started my business in 2020 I’ve met so many wonderful supporters and they are dedicated customers.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I started my small business in January 2020 it’s always been an idea of mines bt I actually executed it right before Corona hit and it’s been a success every since. I started off delivering in Alabama during the week and Georgia on Saturdays. I did that for a whole year then I started with Door Dash January 2021. In September 2021 I loss my only child he was murdered in Atlanta, Ga so now I’ve been trying to get my drive back because my Son was a big help to me and my business. I really appreciate my customers for understanding and giving me time to get back to my treats,
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
My story has not been an easy road bt through it all I will keep fighting until I win. I know in due time God will see my vision through. I hope telling my story gives other business owners the strength to hang in there it will be well worth it in the end. Nothing comes easy.
Now I’m more focused on starting an non profit organization called Put The Guns Down in memory of my son Darnell “Troup” Douglas. At these events I will continue to share my story and help reach our youth.

We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.
My business partner is my husband we’ve started from the bottom together and we will become millionaires together. From day one my husband has always supported my vision and he would promote at his job the Honda plant in Lincoln, AL and that’s how I got my business off the ground by making orders for his coworkers.
My husband is my biggest supporter and he loves helping me prepare orders for our customers.
