As a firm located in downtown Camden, NJ our mission is to combat financial illiteracy in our communities in order to bridge the wealth and socio-economic chasm that currently exists. Which is why our partnerships with Community/Economic Development Organizations (EDO) and local governmental entities are so vital to what we do.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Our 3 Core Services:
1 Tax preparation – The preparation of individual and corporate taxes including the creation of a strategic plan to defer, exempt, and/or eliminate future tax obligations.
2 Business Formation – The process of filing statutory paperwork to properly form and register various legal entities (LLC, Sole Proprietorships, Partnerships, S & C Corp) on Federal, State, and local level (UEZ).
3 Bookkeeping – The recording of the financial transactions that helps regulate the internal controls and operations of a business. Additionally, it allows creditors and investors to assess the financial health of a business.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Being a great person and offering high quality service. Consistency in the market and word of mouth testimonials.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
The COVID-19 Pandemic caused me to pivot my life and business in a major way. I was working in Newark for at an Economic Development Organization doing accounting and investment underwriting for Small Business. During the height of the pandemic, I was let go from the company and had to regroup and get my life and affairs in order fast forward to early 2021, I opened my Tax Accounting firm, Safe and Sound Stewards. We now offer Tax preparation, Business Formation, Bookkeeping services as well as small business solutions and service the wonderful City of Camden and surrounding areas.
