Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jhase Kennedy . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Jhase thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
In my opinion To be successful takes a few things, determination, self belief, consistency & hard work if you’re able to maintain all those things at a high enough level there’s almost no way you can lose.
Jhase , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Well for those who don’t know I am a barber but most of the time I feel like much more than that a lot of times my clients have very important events to attend weddings anniversaries etc. and I am the guy they choose to make sure that they look their absolute best for those events, also as a barber and or image consultant a lot of times my services help boost the confidence of a client, a simple haircut can turn a their entire day around. I think what sets me apart from other barbers is my sharpness and consistency also my professionalism and customer service these things have been a essential part of my business so far, I’ve only been cutting hair about 2 1/2 years now so I’m pretty proud of how quickly I have grown in the industry.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source for me in particular has been social media Instagram to be exact I’ve studied other barbers in the past and other content creators and I’ve used different techniques in order to come up with my own unique style when it comes to creating content around barbering or haircutting… The thing is just like anything else in life in order for it to be successful you have to remain consistent and that’s what I have done.
How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
Well as far as capital my way was pretty simple I worked as a server at relatively high end restaurants I would save my tip money over a long period of time in order to pay for my schooling after that I continued to work while in school saved some more money and bought myself some barber tools and from that point forward it was off to the races.
