We recently connected with Johnedra Walls and have shared our conversation below.
Johnedra, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My parents taught me to never wait on anyone or anything. Everything begins and ends with you! The hardest part of starting is starting. Once you actually start don’t stop. Even when going through, don’t stop, keep going!
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am the owner and instructor of IDC Phlebotomy Learning Center LLC located in Houston, Texas. IDC was inspired by my children in which IDC are their initials. Ishmael, Destiny and Corinthian. 20 years ago I went back to school but fell in love with the art of phlebotomy. Being a phlebotomist has allowed me to train and travel all over the world. I perfected my gift along the way, I met a lot of wonderful people , learned so many things. I decided to go back to school due to some unforeseen circumstances I became a single mother of three and needed to do something immediately. Teaching and helping others get certified in phlebotomy means so much to me. I get to meet others from all walks of life who need a new start. Whether phlebotomy is the career they choose or if it’s the start of much more, I love helping them get to where they need to be.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built my audience by creating social media pages solely for my business! The best advice I can give is never stop promoting. I don’t care who don’t like, share or comment. Keep Promoting!!!!
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
The lesson I learned is everyone don’t need help they want attention! Use discernment and pray before everything!
