We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Lindsey Stephens . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Lindsey below.
Lindsey , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I actually did not come up with the idea to start a radio station. In the beginning I was a supporting influence for my friend and now business partner, the founder, Diego. We met, I feel appropriately ironic, at a tattoo shop. Between us both having the same artist, being locals, and the numerous amount of Rock shows we attended simultaneously, it was astonishing how we hadn’t met before then. Thankfully we did and after a few years of a growing friendship and assisting with other media projects, we finally launched The Asylum Radio Network in February 2021.
Our goal was to provide the world with the best Rock music on a digital platform. The station was built on a variety Rock genres without a repetitive lineup. The Asylum’s multiple listening options achieves our worldwide objective. Something unique about our station that excites me is our involvement with new or up and coming bands. I love discovering these talents and sharing them with everyone!

Lindsey , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Along with blessing your ears with Rock music, The Asylum also has a cast of characters amongst its DJs hosting shows throughout the day. We perform interviews with bands and industry related individuals. You can catch us in person hosting concerts, festivals, and other events locally or abroad.
We offer advertising opportunities amongst our various platforms to include Roku TV, Live365, Radio Garden, social media and our website: www.theasylumradionetwork.com
We constantly add content from pictures and videos of concerts or other events, to reviews, interviews, general shenanigans amongst the crew, and more.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Growing social media for us revolves around consistent content that is relevant, interesting and/or fun. Networking with all levels of other entrepreneurs, businesses, and specifically to us, bands/artists. Engaging with fans. Being inclusive.

Are there any books, videos, essays or other resources that have significantly impacted your management and entrepreneurial thinking and philosophy?
