We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jessica Glover. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jessica below.
Jessica, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My parents are amazing. After 40 years of marriage, my father sadly passed away, however the love and support from both my mother and father during my entire life has been unmatched.
From a very early age, my parents instilled in me and my two sisters the importance of being ourselves and truly understanding that there is nothing in this world we could not accomplish if it was our true desire. When I was about eight (8) years old, my mother lined me and my two (2) sisters up in the kitchen. She told us each to say our entire name. I said, “Jessica Denean Johnson”, my sisters each stated their entire names. She then told us that we are sisters and there will be good things that happen to and for us at different times in our lives, and there will be bad things that happen to and for us in our lives at different times, but that we needed to support each other no matter what. That lesson has stayed with me until today.
In 2003, I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. Mental illness has run in my family for at least three (3) generations that we are aware of. Overcoming the challenges associated with the stigma of mental illness in our society has been a feat. Thankfully, with spiritual guidance, family support, support from medical professionals and medication, I have been able to live a successful life, despite my illness.
I recently penned my first literary work entitled, “Far From Crazy – Success In Sanity: My Unashamed Truth”. It is an inspirational memoir detailing my personal journey from mental illness to mental wellness. I went from being indigent, living at home with my parents to becoming a wife, married for almost 12 years, and a successful multi-million dollar producing Realtor.
My parents were right. Good and bad things will happen in our lives, but with faith in God and family support, I can and will continue to do whatever are my true desires.

Jessica, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Once I was able to find healing from my mental illness and began my journey towards mental wellness, I knew that it was time to find what I loved to do vocationally. I took a part time job at a national insurance company in their call center. It was a way to get back into the workforce slowly. I excelled in that role and received many awards and acknowledgements, however, I knew that I wanted more.
I was introduced to a Real Estate Broker by one of my dear friends, and she said that she thought I would do well as a Realtor. I entertained the idea a few years earlier, but nothing ever came of it. I went home and shared the idea with my husband and he, as always, was very supportive. The next month I took the four week course and on February 6, 2018, I passed my exam!
My real estate career has been adventurous, and I have loved every minute of it. In the words of the late comedian, David Arnold, “It ain’t for the weak!”
Understanding that real estate sales happen in cycles and changes in seasons has been my greatest lesson. Also, not counting commissions until the client has the keys in their hands at the closing table has been another major lesson. Real estate moves quickly and things can change instantly. Most people think that real estate is an easy and lucrative career path. It can definitely be lucrative, but there are a lot of behind the scenes negotiations, coaching, and pivoting involved.
I am a Realtor with Vylla Home. I am licensed in both Florida and Georgia. My brokers Derek Ratliff and Adrien Bryant have been so supportive and help me in any way that I need. I am currently working with large investors that are purchasing homes in several markets within the US. I also specialize in working with First Time Homebuyers in Florida and Georgia. The joy on the face of a First Time Home Buyer once they get the keys to what was once a far off dream is PRICELESS!
I am most proud that despite my journey to mental wellness, God has allowed me to find my lane in Real Estate. Real Estate is ever changing and it’s fun. No one day is the same and I love that!
If you are looking to buy a home in Florida or Georgia…I AM YOUR GO-TO REALTOR!

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source for new clients for me has been social media. Weekly, I post something about my real estate business. I post closings, walk throughs, and homes under contract on a consistent basis. Even if no one responds, people are definitely watching. More times than not, I will receive a call or a direct message from someone who is personally looking for a home, or has a family member looking for a home. Staying consistent with posting on social media has been a great benefit to my business.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
Purchasing a home can be a long journey for some. Currently, I have clients that are working on their credit and others that are working on saving money to purchase their home. Patience is definitely a virtue in this space. I periodically check in with my clients to see where they are in their process. I give words of encouragement to those that may feel a little discouraged. I prefer texting clients to check in and if they want to talk, we can then have a conversation. Communication and follow up are key to keeping in touch with my clients.
