We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Khari Turner a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Khari, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started sooner or later?
I definitely wish I had started my business sooner. I wish I had took the time to invest in all the things that made my business scale quicker. I wasted so much time trying to do things the old-school way on my own and without any help. Taking that first leap of faith and actually investing in things that would help my business grow actually saved me a lot of time. I was able to expand my knowledge quicker, as well as take a lot of stress off of myself trying to maneuver task I actually had no idea how to complete by outsourcing. I actually started my business without even knowing I had started my business. I’ve always had a niche for finance, credit, as well as advising others. So I would always help my family and friends and anybody who needed any assistance with their credit or finding funding that they may have qualified for over the years for free just because it was something that I enjoy doing. I started working on multiple online platforms looking to scale my products. Over the years I have discovered ways to turn that into passive income. Although the demand for my product started to increase on my online stores as I begin learning how to break the algorithms to boost sales and market myself effectively, so did the sleepless nights of trying to fulfill orders as well as be a full-time mom and wife. I was more than grateful to see my sales increase but I just knew that there had to be a better way. Since this time I have learned how to turn that physical work into digital work and build multiple streams of passive income from just one single platform and now I have the opportunity to show others how to do the same from my personal experiences in the industry..

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
I got into this industry initially as an investment into myself. Most days I felt like giving up because I always felt like I was so close to making something happen and it never did. Well watching people with similar backgrounds was all the motivation that I needed. If they could do it & come from worse situations so could I. I then became thirsty for the knowledge and the growth. I found motivation in those who were owning their platforms or dominating their industry. I respectfully wanted to help others in the same light. I found mentors that kept me grounded and hard working. I’ve gotten some of the best advice, knowledge, and guidance from my mentor Joe Jamerson, Derricka Harwell & many more. I’ve learned that a good mentor can make all the different in your success. This is why I try to never miss an opportunity to learn and grow from my mentors. Although I too offer a successful 6-figure mentorship program, I invest in my knowledge as often as I see fit to continue to grow myself as well as my mentees. You truly never stop learning. Only a fool knows it all. I now offer multiple life changing courses with more on the way.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I believe I have been able to build my reputation within my market solely based on transparency and truth. I try to be as transparent with my audience as possible because most of them come from similar backgrounds and it’s important that they know it’s never easy but always possible. I’m not here to sell anyone a million dollar dream or a get rich quick schemes. I’m here to help those who truly want to help themselves change their financial situation. Consistency is the key to success and with my program I show you the necessary steps to take that can lead to multiple 6-7 figure income. I enjoy watching the success of those in my program. It lets me know all of my hard work I put into building a successful & effective program was worth it. I believe my success is measured by those I help succeed.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
My best source of obtaining new clients has been generic marketing. I don’t worry about who my next client will be. I focus on doing the absolute best I can for my existing clients and aiding them in their success the rest usually falls in place. I don’t run any paid ads or pay any clients for success stories. I let my work speak for itself and through word of mouth and transparency I’m able to obtain new clients generically.
