We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Maranda Morgan. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Maranda below.
Alright, Maranda thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
As a young girl I always dreamed of having my own magazine. I always had subscriptions to all the top magazines. I loved reading the articles, seeing the new fashion and of course the boy band posters were a plus! As I got older I continued to have a interest in creativity, photography and sharing someone’s amazing story. Years later in 2016 I created PINK GANG Magazine. My mission is to uplift and congratulate hard working “good people” in the entertainment industry. A lot of times magazines and blogs highlight entertainers negative aspects. I try to never do that in my articles and posts on social media. My mission is also to give models a tasteful platform to showcase their talent.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My brand is called PINK GANG. Which is a magazine, blog and clothing line. I first started as a fashion editor for a fashion and entertainment magazine called Chic Society based out of Florida. As time passed, I felt that I was ready to create my own magazine. In which I did in Atlanta, GA in 2016. PINK GANG Magazine consist of fashion articles, editorials, model spotlight and celebrity interviews/ entertainment interviews. Our print copies are published as special editions because I do not release issues every month and I take pride in the quality of the physical copies. I think what sets me apart than others is the drive and consistency even if there are hard times, I always find a way to bring it back and make things happen. Also I do everything myself. Some may say that’s not a good thing, but I’m proud of myself that I’m able to do so.
PINk GANG is a platform for all dope creatives that are putting the work in!
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I build my audience on social media by staying active in the entertainment community, showing positivity and building relationships with like minded individuals. My advice is to network, network and network! Don’t be afraid to go to events by yourself because that’s when you usually meet the greatest people that can be asset to your life.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is to be FREE! And being able to make others feel good and inspire by your creativity.
