We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mo Cross a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Mo, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. If you could go back in time do you wish you had started your business sooner or later?
There are moments where I wished that I put down my criminal Justice degree and went into photography and set designing fulltime…yes.
But honestly, I don’t regret much of it. For the energy that is put into my art are details that come from my experiences through my previous career.
If you pay close attention to some of my work, you’ll be able to notice where each image is rooted from. I hope to continue to do this in the future.
When my mind goes back in time and wonder though, I do feel like I would be somewhere in Atlanta on set helping someone gather crumbs for a movie scene. The way my ambition is set up, I could see the younger me going for it lol.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
For those that don’t know me, my name is Mo and I’m a creative Director and photographer. I specialize in editorial, fantasy, and portfolio designs. I plan on working with models and artists who are interested in detailed images that tell a story that most aren’t thinking of.
I have collaborated with my business partner to create a studio where our ideas can come together, called @MJProductionStudios, but you can find WYNICHE underneath every project.
We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.
I introduced the idea to Johnny ahead of time, we are cousins and I figured it would be nice to have a business with a family member, you know, to end the general curses lol. He was already into schooling for it so that was a plus in itself. Then things started to take off from there, to the point where I had to catch up with Johnny!

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect is to be able to spend a lot of time and energy into a project and to see it come to life. It’s like unwrapping a present, you never know what you’re going to get until you open it up. It’s a blessing to be an artist/creator.
