We were lucky to catch up with Giovanina Valero recently and have shared our conversation below.
Giovanina, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Was there a defining moment in your professional career? A moment that changed the trajectory of your career?
Definitely 9/11 2001 was a defining moment in my life,
I still lived in Venezuela.
That day I woke up at my friend Rosa’s house with the news of the attack on the tv, not knowing that hours later I would experience my own collapse.
I was a rebel at all costs, I was 15 years old and I felt that I was invincible, besides, I was not showing myself vulnerable, on the contrary, always badly faced as a super strong pose.
We went to my house to get some things and there was the bombshell.
The house was no longer ours, I had spent time seeing how many things left the house and listening to the murmur of a bad economic situation, which at that moment became a loud noise.
I was already enrolled in a school in Montalbán so I had to go to my grandparents’ house to ask for asylum, where my father also lived.
It was the only option. My mother, brother and stepfather would go to Valencia.
Life put me in my favorite place permanently and that beginning implied a renunciation of life as I knew it.
I went from being a teenager who invited food, the one who went shopping every Sunday, the one who traveled without suitcases to a margarita on Fridays, to living with just what was necessary.
My grandmother had already taught me to knit so it was time to use that tool, that’s when I began to explore the world of commerce and fashion, I bought t-shirts that I intervened and then I sold and knitted everything, bags, scarves, belts.
I bought materials to make necklaces and mixed them with knitted elements, it was the best way to have my accessories too without spending a lot.
I also sold Avon.
I went from having, without knowing the value, to having through my work and effort.
In the material there was not so much opulence, but I never lacked for anything and love abounded.
My life changed completely at the age of fifteen and my dad, when he saw me frustrated, repeated to me how he was sure how much that situation would teach me even if he didn’t see it at the time.
My collapse was caused by compulsive gambling.
My collapse was also the beginning of a new life at the age of 15, a life that I am extremely grateful to have lived.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I started to studying astrology in Venezuela on 2013, but some way it was always present at home.
And it was here in Miami where I started to share what I do, to have a small online and local community interested in having more knowledge and connect with their own inner power trough the natal chart.
This magic world is infinite and can help us to improve our life’s in so many levels.
From last two years also I’ve been working in children’s astrology with a group of mothers, i think every mother should know at least the basic of their kids natal chart. The solar sign, the lunar one and the rising.
The difference that I experimented with my girls is amazing. It’s a experience must be shared and even more, must be lived by others.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
That about follow some others formula, it’s incredible how different can be each experience. Opinions and perspectives, are as many individuals are.
In the entrepreneurial world you must be prepared to build your own formula, to educate yourself in the process.
To not let the flame between you and your project, your porpoise, turn off.
Developer your appreciation, your gratitude attitude to your own path. No place for comparison.
Build your own formula, express your real you can be difficult but you’re the only one who can define success for you.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Even more than social media, word of mouth has been the most effective strategy.
And feels great build a community with the credibility of my job.
