We recently connected with Tiffany Hendra and have shared our conversation below.
Tiffany, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
The word ‘meaningful’ is so beautiful. The definition is having a serious, important or useful quality or purpose. Of all the television projects I’ve worked on, the most meaningful one is what I’m currently in the midst of called #SoThrive with Tiffany Hendra. I’ve partnered with a wellness platform called My Wellness By Nature to create wellness and spiritually conscious programming. The seed was planted 20 years ago when I went through my spiritual awakenening aka rock bottom. I had been working as a TV Host in Los Angeles, but now had this new found drive to be part of programming that enriched the lives of women. Then 10 years after, this fascinating platform called YouTube came on the scene and I started my channel, Sanctuary Of Style. I didn’t know what I was doing, but I had this deep desire to inspire and empower women on their confidence journey sharing beauty, style and personal development tips. Like any creative entrepreneur knows, the idea or brand evolves as we evolve personally. Over the past 10 years, I’ve experienced much soul-searching, personal transformation as well as health issues. Let’s not forget the intensity of experiencing the intense stress, plus the strength gained from appearing on a high profile reality show!
During the 2020 quarantine, I got real with myself and began asking myself deeper questions. If I had a microphone to the world, what would I say? If I could produce any type of TV show, how would that look? With all the series “binging”, how could I contribute in a meaningful, education, inspirational and fun way? I put all the ideas on a dream/ vision board and divine intervention happened a month later. The founders of MWBN reached out. They were impressed and inspired by my content which was in alignment with their platform. #SoThrive was birthed!
Tiffany, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
As a global empowerment leader and coach, I am committed to guiding women toward self-actualization and empowerment and to fall madly in love with themselves in order to live the highest vision for their life. One of the most challenging pain points for women is their perpetual self-abandonment keeping them in survival mode. I’m obsessed with seeing women choose themselves, RISE + THRIVE!
The Coaching Sanctuary™, an empowerment company for women, aligns spiritual modalities with effective empowerment tools for the mission-driven woman.
We create conscious content, books, workshops, TV programs and divinely inspired trainings that cultivate courage, build rock solid confidence (on + off camera), foster collaboration over competition, and encourages presence, visibility, meaningful contribution.
After 25+ years working in front of the camera, I am passionate with sharing my insider tips and experience with mission-driven women. Through The Coaching Sanctuary™, I offer interactive group workshops, holistic 1:1 coaching and online courses blending the areas of empowerment/spirituality and on-camera presence/branding/social media strategy .
Today’s entrepreneur must, I repeat, must utilize the power of video to connect with their audience and potential clients, but unfortunately many allow the paralyzing fear of “putting themselves out there” to keep them disconnected. Not on Tiff’s watch! My unique coaching strategy combines my own spiritual journey of overcoming a fear-based mindset with years of experience as a TV host and YouTuber.
Helping women step out of their comfort zone in order to live more authentically is what sets my soul on fire. Ready to find out what lights you up?
The first quote that Tiffany memorized when she began her spiritual journey is what she lives by today and continues to be the foundation of her business and brand:
Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined.
(Henry David Thoreau)
Tiffany Hendra inspires mission-driven women from around the world to live their most authentic, healthy, purposeful and courageous lives. She is a wife, TV personality, global empowerment life coach, creator of the YouTube Channel, Sanctuary Of Style which has graduated into The Coaching Sanctuary™, an empowerment company for women. In 2016, Tiffany was inducted into the Bravo housewives sorority as a season one cast member on Real Housewives Of Dallas. She now hosts and co-produces her own show #SOTHRIVE with Tiffany Hendra. Her mission is to help women get out of survival mode and truly thrive!
Tiffany believes “thriving” is about living in freedom,
harnessing your innate feminine power,
using your voice,
cultivating courage,
loving yourself WAYYY more,
making healthy empowering choices
and living with unapologetic authenticity.
In 2002, Tiffany hit rock bottom and met God on a bathroom floor in West Hollywood from a near opiate overdose. This was the beginning of a long mental, physical and spiritual journey that would ultimately transform her mess into her message. This journey ignited a deep passion to empower women around the world to do the same. She found her calling or her calling found her.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
It’s been a journey to create a community on social media. It’s definitely a marathon not a sprint! When I started my YouTube channel in 2010, I made a COMMITMENT to the women who subscribed. If I said I was going to show up and post a video each week, I kept my word. Of course, I had no idea how much work it would be, but I quickly realized the trust factor is everything when it comes to social media. If someone merely wants to be “Insta-famous” with a ton of followers they will get hit with the harsh reality that it takes authenticity and consistency to grow and keep a loyal community. Many of the women in my community have been with me since the early days of SOS. One of my media coaches told me back when I started, “be consistent, build it and they will come”. People can sniff out inauthenticity and desperation. You must know your WHY for creating a community. If not, you will give up because it’s not important enough to you, it’s time consuming, it takes a while to monetize and it’s flat out hard.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Oh yes, my mission is to expand and grow in love, abundance, creativity and success as I inspire others to do the same. Creative expression is the life force for so many people, but often — life happens, the 9-5 security, mortgage and obligations that rob creative types of this life force. I was an artist from birth! As a little girl, that’s all I thought about and was constantly drawing or building barbie worlds alone in my room. Then, I got an art scholarship to college and planned to move to NYC and work for a magazine. At 18, I got the opportunity to travel the world with modeling and took that creative route instead. In my 20’s, after a string of traumatic experiences, I lost all sense of creative expression for over a decade. I felt dead inside until an earth angel gave me the book, The Artist‘s Way by Julia Cameron which sent me on a spiritual path back to my true nature as a creative being. I call it staying “lit up” and encourage women — when they feel stuck — to go back and dust off those fun, creative activities they loved doing as a little girl. The world needs more lit up women. May we all rise and thrive!
