Chandleur Macksood, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?

While building my career and working long shifts at one of the world’s largest companies, I struggled to find healthy options that were also affordable and convenient. It was difficult to not grab the pizza in the break room when I had a moment to take a break, however I knew that eating healthy would make me feel better at work and in my daily life. Healthy food was always something that was important to our family growing up, and I often spent time with my mom cooking in the kitchen. When I found Clean Eatz, it was the perfect synergy of healthy food and my passion for cooking. Opening Clean Eatz almost one year ago has allowed me to bring affordable, convenient and delicious healthy food to our community so that everyone can enjoy spending time on the things they love to do rather than spending time shopping at the grocery store or cooking in the kitchen. Our mealz are unique as they provide a healthy balance of fat, protein and carbs- properly portioned and ready to heat, eat and enjoy! Making real food for real people is what we get excited about!

At Clean Eatz, we make healthy meal prep easy, convenient and affordable as possible, with a new line-up of mealz announced every week. We make the mealz right in our local cafe right here in Denver every weekend, and then they are ready for to be picked up anytime Sundays-Tuesdays whenever is most convenient for our customers. And the best part is all our mealz are already pre-portioned and prepared, so all our customer has to do is heat, eat, and enjoy — no additional prepping, cooking, or cleaning required!

All our mealz are carefully crafted by a registered dietitian and prepped by chefs for delicious, nutritious mealz. Our goal is to give you the tools needed by preparing properly portioned sized mealz with a balance of protein, carbs, and fats. Our mealz eliminate the guessing, temptation, and lack of being prepared due to a busy lifestyle. Clean Eatz Meal Plans offers you the opportunity to have a personal chef prepare every meal for you at a cost you can afford starting as low as $6.52 per meal.

Additionally, we also do our very best to be as sustainable as possible. Grocery stores throw away 30% of their food, generating 16 billion pounds of food waste each year. In 2021, we had a food waste ratio of less than 0.5%. We also reduce, reuse, and recycle every product that we can.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

As a locally owned and operated business we enjoy working closely with other business owners and building a sense of community amongst our neighbors. From gyms to local apartment buildings, we are often doing events where we can give community members a real taste of what we offer and get to know how we can serve them a little better. We also offer partnership promotions and giveaways at our events. We are always looking for other businesses and service providers in the wellness industry that we can work with to make our community a better place for everyone here in the Denver community!

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?

Our social media presence is very active, we are always reposting our customer’s pictures and videos and have some fans that love to post our mealz on a regular basis – nothing could get us more excited than seeing our people enjoy our food! We keep in touch with customers there of course, in addition we always announce our new weekly menu of mealz on our social medias and also via email to those who sign up at cleaneatz.com/locations/denver-co. Through email you can also place your weekly meal plan menu. In our cafe, we also offer a loyalty program where we give rewards through a point system for every dollar spent that gives free smoothies and mealz back to our customers as they continue to order with us. We know that the best results are seen with consistency, so anything we can do to make our mealz as rewarding and easy to order as possible is what we are all about!
