Timothy, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?

The idea to start The Kingdom Living t-shirt business was birthed because of a gaping hole that I observed in today’s society. The thing that I observed is that a lot of people are living unfulfilled lives. There is a lot of people that are unhappy with their jobs, relationships, and the mundane tasks they do everyday. This leads to problems with their physical, emotional, and spiritual health. We want to help these people who are living unfulfilled lives. We want to tell everybody who would listen, “There is a better way to live your life. You can have a life that is full of love, peace, and happiness.” It is behind this message that The Kingdom Living business was born. Kingdom Living was created to inspire and promote wholesome Christian Kingdom Living. Kingdom Living was born from the idea that being a Christian is not just a religion; but an intimate relationship with a loving God who created you to have a loving relationship with Him. We want everybody to know that there is an all-knowing, all-powerful God who created you for a reason. God wants to be with you on your journey through life and help you do what He created you to do. When you live life this way, the byproduct results in a very healthy, loving, and fulfilling life. Our products it the vehicle we use to get this message out.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

The Kingdom Living business started with an idea but began with a dream. I dreamed of making t-shirts that everyone would love to wear, not only for the message but also for the quality. That dream motivated me to do everything with excellence; from the product to the website to the packaging. My goal was to have the most high-quality, softest shirts that I could find. I want people to look good and feel good wearing my shirts. My goal was to provide a professional website that made for a easy consumer purchasing experience while providing the information and sizes they needed. I even careful selected the packaging so that consumers would be excited to receive their product. The feedback of how pleased my customers are with their product is what I am most proud of. Everybody loves the shirts and how comfortable the feel and look. They are always inquiring about the next design.

Can you talk to us about manufacturing? How’d you figure it all out? We’d love to hear the story.

Yes, we manufacture our own products. I did not know how to manufacture my products initially; so I just designed the shirts and let a third party manufacturer them. I chose a vendor that could execute my vision of excellence that I wanted to achieve. However, I was always looking to improve my business and having a vendor was not very cost effective. So, after a lot of researching and reaching out to someone who had a similar business; I invested in the equipment to start manufacturing the product myself. The lessons I learned was to always look to improve your business and don’t be afraid to ask for help and/or advice.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

The biggest way we grow our clientele is by word of mouth. I believe that the combination of our powerful message that resonates with people and excellence that we have with our high-quality shirts is what leads to our customer loyalty and referrals.
