Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brandi Lynn. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Brandi, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I think success takes dedication, sacrifice (as in sleep, fun, family/friend occasions), and a passion of your own. Any 9-5 job I’ve ever had, while in that role, I was always dedicated and pushed myself to the best of my abilities. My resume’ has executive, supervisor, managerial and program director positions within it. I’m grateful for those companies and my leadership roles because they taught me how to run my own business. They taught me how to turn my own passion into a business which is Brandi Lynn Public Relations.
Brandi, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Brandi Lynn Public Relations started in 2017 while I was living in Los Angeles. I was working as an executive but my passion was marketing and PR. Prior to 2017, I was doing marketing on a lower level in my home town. After realizing big companies in LA weren’t trying to hire this southern belle from Memphis, TN. I decided to start my own Public Relations agency.
I help my clients and non clients get more exposure for their business, product or events through different interviews on all media platforms as well as press releases and other bookings etc. I help businesses and artists with what they lack and most of the time that’s marketing and more exposure to a broader audience.
My current and past clients all know that I’m dedicated to seeing their business, product or talent maximized to the highest level. We come up with a strategic marketing plan then we execute it non-stop!!
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Starting Brandi Lynn Public Relations took guts and resilience after realizing major marketing firms weren’t hiring this multi talented young lady. I never gave up. If I want something, I usually take charge to get it or create it on my own. When I returned to Memphis, I became a radio personality with my own talk show. I have a radio voice and I enjoyed being on the air and interviewing all of Memphis, but it wasn’t my passion. My baby and my passion is marketing and PR. Multiple streams of income has always been my number one goal. Stay tuned for my new business ‘First Priority Dispatch & Logistics LLC.’
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Just because you ask or request to do something, doesn’t mean you will get it or receive it. Everyone won’t like you or what you have to offer, just because you’re you. Life and things won’t come to you easily. Stick your neck out there, do your research on what you want to do, create a plan, execute it and never give up! No matter what anyone says! If it’s for you, it’s for you!
