Kerri, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

With all the negativity you hear and see in the world today, I wanted to promote positivity. I wanted to be the reason someone smiles or cry tears of joy! This is why I decided to start my business. I am able to customize a variety of items with so much love that the recipient is able to feel it when he or she receives it.

Kerri, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Hello. I am Kerri Danner, owner of Crowned By Favor Custom Designs. I customize a variety of items from shirts, memorial lanterns, door hangers to signs and banners. I started off just customizing shirts and hoodies for myself. Then friends and family started asking if I could make them one. When I gave them it, I saw how happy it made them. At that point, I realized I love customizing items and how it made people feel, plus I can earn extra money doing it. It was a win-win for me. A few months later, I started venturing off to customizing wine glasses, wine bags, pillows, and coasters. From there, I knew I could customize just about anything. That is where I came up with my slogan “if it isn’t customized, it just doesn’t make cents!” Here, I interchanged the word “sense” for “cents” because customizing items makes money for me! I provide clients with the opportunity to obtain beautiful, unique gifts for any occasion at reasonable prices. For example, if my client is attending a baby shower, she is able to pick from several different baby shower gifts to take along with her. With one of my customized gifts, she doesn’t have to worry about anybody having the same gift as her and most likely it will be the talk of the baby shower because of how pretty and unique it will be. What sets me apart is the passion I have for what I do. I not only love customizing the gifts, I love the reactions I get back from my clients as well!

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

I have learned a lot since I started and continue to learn everyday. One of the biggest lessons I have learn is to never get discouraged. I remember seeing everybody else making shirts and hoodies and thinking “how am I going to compete with them?” I use to get so discouraged and was ready to stop with my business. However, a wise woman told me one day, “there’s plenty of different kinds of bread on the shelf at the stores.” So simple, but so true! Now every time I start feeling discouraged I remind myself of that and keep on pushing.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Im still in the process of building my social media presence, but joining different groups and posting multiple times a day has helped a whole lot.
