We were lucky to catch up with Immanuel Alvarado recently and have shared our conversation below.
Immanuel, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
I guess you can say I was born with this talent. The ability to write, perform, and grab people’s attention have always been strong capabilities for me. The learning process is everlasting. In terms of speeding up the process for me, I would say networking with other creatives at an earlier time would’ve definitely sped things up for me. Patience, self confidence, as well as the willingness to learn and take constructive criticism have definitely been the most essential skills . The major obstacles that stood in the way for me include lack of finances, anxiety, depression, and addiction. Times were tough, but I never stopped working. Nevertheless, I’m grateful for the journey so far, and excited to continue to learn, grow, and influence others it’s okay to be yourself.

Immanuel, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Immanuel Alvarado. I’m a recording artist, actor, and entrepreneur. I am a Kennesaw State University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Media & Entertainment. I founded a media production company (SBR Productions) as well as a clothing brand (Trapaholic Territory). Although writing music and performing in front of the camera are my main talents , I also film events, music videos, and shorts.
I believe what sets me apart from others is my willingness to adapt. Growing up, I’ve always been eager to learn and become a better person. I practice this mindset creatively, socially, physically, and academically. My determination and hunger to progress and become a better person than I was the previous day bred an unstoppable mentality that propels me on a daily basis. I’m most proud of the content and projects I’ve released. If you’ve never heard of me before or any of my brands, know that whenever you deal with me you’re dealing with raw emotion, integrity, and authenticity. My sole objective is to tell the story of an underdog that chased his dreams and never looked back. The person everybody laughed at. If I can do it, so can you.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Rick Ross has a book titled “Boss Up.” This was the first book I read after I finished my undergraduate studies. The book helped me put into perspective the reality of life being too short, and that success isn’t just going to fall in one’s lap. Work must be put in, and the process isn’t overnight (for most).

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
In all honesty, I’ve seen my family struggle for far too long. I just want my parents to be able to live the rest of their days happy and not stressing over finances. I just want to be financially free, and spread positive messages to the world.
