Alright, Dyamond thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Naming anything – including a business – is so hard. Right? What’s the story behind how you came up with the name of your brand?
My business name is Dyamond Luxury Travel. My name is Dyamond and curating Luxury Travel Experiences is my goal for all of my travelers!
Dyamond, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Dyamond Carr of Dyamond Luxury Travel. I own a travel agency geared toward making Luxury Travel Experiences for travelers in all price ranges.
My passion for travel started at 18 years old. When my mother gifted me a trip to Jamaica for my high school graduation and I’ve been addicted to Travel and Exploring ever since.
I think I decided to turn my passion into a business when I started solo traveling. I was posting a lot of my experiences on social media, and the amount of people requesting me to help them book trips made starting the company a no brainer.
Like so many others, I began solo traveling because I didn’t have anyone to go away with. So I’ve also prioritized Annual Group Trips, so all of my Fellow Solo Travelers can hopefully find some like minded people to see the world with!
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I think a lesson I had to unlearn is support means SPENDING MONEY! I have received so much support from so many people that have never spent a dime with me. Support comes in so many forms like reposting my Travel Packages, referring friends/family that are looking to travel, or even words of encouragement are so important and extremely appreciated.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
My best source of new clients has been word of mouth. My business is new and there is plenty competition but what sets me apart is I believe in customer service and forming the best customer experience possible. This has developed my customers into my best advertisers.
