We were lucky to catch up with Christopher Myers Davis recently and have shared our conversation below.
Christopher, appreciate you joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I came up with “Thank God For Every 24”because of frustrations with the way I saw things operating in the world, as well as frustrations with my own feelings of inadequacy. I was frustrated with my peers only posting materialistic, and mainly negative material on social media. I was frustrated with what felt like a resurgence at the time (2015) of unarmed African Americans being killed by the police. What frustrated me most though? The fact that I wasn’t confident enough at the time to standout, be comfortable in my own skin, and speak out on these things/subject matter. My insecurity led me to follow my peers instead of leading. My insecurity led me to sit in silence regarding my frustrations as a young African American man, instead of using my God given voice to speak out in a positive and powerful way. Which lead to a powerful God led conversation with my Dad.
I spoke with my dad one day about my frustrations, just to vent and express myself. He gave a simple, yet very powerful suggestion to my “frustrations.” His words were “Son, If you aren’t offering or creating any solutions, then you are a part of the problem.” He also stated, “In whatever you do, make sure in some form/fashion you acknowledge God and give him praise. He didn’t and probably still doesn’t realize how those simple statements PROPELLED me into starting what is now known as Thank God For Every 24.
God is the most powerful “being” to ever exist! My faith in him and my lord and savior Jesus Christ have always been the catalyst to any positivity in my life (Even during my days of doing the “wrong” things). After that conversation with my dad, God immediately gave me the phrase “Thank God For Every 24”, and I knew exactly what I needed to do with it. I deleted all my social media posts on Instagram at the time, which all were insecure, trend following, and materialistic posts anyway. I wanted a fresh start, so all my posts from that day to now, were about some form of positivity/awareness, and I made sure EVERY post had the phrase “Thank God For Every 24” attached to it. In my mind, I was able to “kill two birds with one stone.” I was able to give God his much due praise/acknowledgement, as well as I was posting positive content to outweigh all the negativity I continually saw. On the bonus side, I felt (still feel) a sense of “invincibility” because I acknowledge God always. I felt/feel protected from all negativity, hate, and insecurity because of my “Thank God For Every 24” attachment.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I use videos, pictures, creative captions/quotes, merchandise, art, etc. to show people how to, and encourage them to maximize their full potential in the 24 hours that God gives us every day.
When most see the above statement, they probably will associate it with a career, finances, fitness, a hobby, etc. All of those things definitely apply to TGFE24, but the main thing I want known is that TGFE24 is FOR EVERYONE. It’s not just for business owners, it’s not just for athletes, it’s not just to just for motivation in the area of fame/fortune. It’s purpose is to motivate EVERYONE and EVERYBODY. I want the homeless man on the street (respectfully speaking, no offense intended) to be just as empowered as the billionaire when he’s connected to anything TGFE24 related. I want everyday “regular” people to feel special and powerful. I want the stereotype of importance and power only relating to fame/fortune to be debunked.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
This may be a “boring” answer (lol)….but BE YOURSELF!
This is all I’ve done, and that is all God is currently telling me to do. It’s ok to be inspired and motivated by the way other people build their brands. But I’m here to tell you that if God has a specific way/plan he wants you to do something, my advice would be to listen to him. You never want to be in a negative position or place that God never called you to be in, all because you chose to follow someone else’s pattern instead of the one he called you to follow.
If you just stay consistent, put forth your best effort (ask yourself are you really doing this), be open to God, and have confidence, then I believe the audience and results will show up for you in a HUGE way. Audiences/Customers/Fans, respect authenticity more than anything. People love to know that when they’re connecting to your platform, that they are connecting with a “real person” just like themselves.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
1. Being a 18-19 year old young man in 2015 talking about positivity, activism, respecting women, etc., did not make me the most popular amongst my peers……..as I’m sure you could imagine, lol. Honestly even some older people, who you’d think would be proud of a young man doing something positive, in their own way showed disapproval to my work. I really had to tap in to my God given confidence, and be ok with the fact that I’m not doing this for my peers (or anyones) approval except Gods. My first couple of years, I lost a bunch of followers, and my likes/comments went down majorly. It hurt, but I stayed the course that God has for me. Fast forward to present day, and now I’ve had people literally stop me in the middle of traffic or randomly while I’m pumping gas, to tell me how much my videos impacted them. I even had a couple of guys honestly tell me, even though they don’t like or comment like they should, they watch and are impacted by every video.
2. The loss of my wife and I’s first child via miscarriage. To make a long story short, that situation broke me in multiple ways. I questioned everything, including my belief in God. In my mind, How could I make TGFE24 videos, if I’m not even sure I believe in God. It took me months before I could even think about getting back into creative mode, but time heals all wounds. Mr and God have been slowly but surely rebuilding our relationship, which is why I can even do this interview in the first place.
