Hi Barbara, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a time you helped a customer really get an amazing result through their work with you.
As someone whose career started in the medical industry (in and out of uniform), I understand how skeptical people are buying products online due to unfamiliarity with the brand, what the ingredients are, the manufacturer or if it is a fraud. I get it…running a home bases business that is cloud-based as an Independent Contractor can raise eyebrows.
When you have a solution to other people’s issues that can significantly change their situation through the transparency of your own personal struggles, you begin to realize that when others can relate to your story or someone else’s the thought of taking a chance starts to creep in.
I am always excited to receive early morning text messages and DMs from customers who are starting to notice subtle changes in areas we have longed to improve. It is the ones that start off with, “I feel great, I have lots of energy, I slept like a baby, the pain in my knee is not bothersome today, I do not feel like I have brain fog, I started a fitness class or reading other stories are encouraging. My all-time favorite is when my customers appreciate the personal customer service that is supplied when they have questions or need advice about adding a product to their daily routine. They are taken aback at how good they feel that family, friends and even co-workers are noticing the changes also. This is the sweet spot! I do not see my customers’ numbers and I do not work with dollar signs in my eyes. It is truly about helping others achieve their goals.
Because of the company I have aligned myself with my customers turned into a community of people from diverse backgrounds that wanted a solution to their issues…they became friends and considered family. We are a social community that has fun while improving our health and wellness. On the days that one needs inspiration, motivation, and encouragement you can always come across a member’s social media post that instantly brightens one’s day knowing they are not alone.
Therefore, I love what I do.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi, I am Barbara Warren a San Antonio-based army Veteran turned entrepreneur who is a millennial minded 50-year-old running a home business centered around health and wellness.
Six years ago, December 15th, I let go of my skepticism by attaching my name to the company I am absolutely obsessed with after vowing not to do one of those home business ventures again. Well, not until I found this product realizing I could age gracefully and feel good while doing it!
I was struggling and did not know where to look for a solution. I am too young to feel like, “Welp! This is it. I guess feeling exhausted, bouts of inflammation, stomach bloat, weight gain, lack of sleep is what happens when you reach your 40s. I just did not want to believe that at all. There had to be more to life than what I was experiencing. All of us at some points have felt we were not living our best lives and frankly that is because we get caught up in the rat race while ignoring the signs our bodies present to us daily.
We have been programed to learn to live with inadequate sleep, neck/back pain, digestive challenges, moodiness, and the list goes on. I knew I wanted more and needed a change and quick. A good friend and now business partner was aware of my situation and suggested I investigate the products she had been taking. Honestly, I was not interested. However, the closer my retirement came I had to do something. At this point I had nothing to lose. Let us be honest, we do not obtain the vitamins and nutrients our bodies need to function properly from the processed foods we consume daily. There is nothing wrong with realizing we need help in that area.
The same issues I was experiencing, so were family members, friends, co-workers and even people I did not know were starting to contact me about what I was doing. I had something that people wanted because they were seeing my transformations in real time. What sets us apart from other health and wellness businesses is that our brand under promises, over delivers and the products WORK! It is my business to ensure every customer achieves the best possible outcome. To carry out this goal, I am in contact with each of them to check their progress and answer any questions that may arise.
Reflecting on my journey, I am proud that I took the chance on myself to better my situation, which has led me to help others change the trajectory of their circumstances to be the best they can be for their families. When potential customers, followers, or supporters come to my page, I want them to know…

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
When I first started on social media, I had no idea what I was doing. I was winging it in the beginning. Once I realized that I did have something everyone needed, I became intentional. Below are some contributing factors that helped in the process…
–be yourself. People need to know they can trust you.
–it does not have to be perfect when you post. Do it ugly! Honestly, people like to know you are a real person.
–you must post about what it is you do. If you do not how will people know you have a business? Speaking videos and static photos are ideal to build a presence online.
–step out your comfort zone and just post the content as it will take time to grow so make the most of your time
–please engage with commenters. Even the ones you know are bots it still counts as interaction good, bad, or indifferent
–make sure you look at your analytics to formulate a plan based on what is working and what is not.
–use tools that will make it easier to create your content.
–incorporate a current trend and make it relatable to your specific business.

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
I started my side hustle because I wanted to feel better. Never did I believe I would run another home-based business that was nutrition focused. The business was very part-time (started December 15, 2015) while on active duty and retirement was quickly approaching. I retired March 11, 2016, the engine in my truck blew April 14, 2016, and my 1st retirement check would not come until June 1st.
My husband was working in another state, we were supporting two different households, a mortgage 551 miles away with two sons in college which was stretching us thin. I had to make the decision to commit to running my health and wellness business full-time and not to dip into savings to buy a new vehicle and to keep my lifestyle.
This is when I remembered I could earn my vehicle. The milestone for me was April 29, 2016, not only did I earn some huge bonuses I also achieved the second rank of the company (Auto Bonus Earner) in 3 months and 14 days (about 2 weeks) and became a six-figure business that year. My business scaled up once people realized I was not kidding about how it was a blessing for me to share this opportunity because of results in different areas of my life and they could achieve their goals too.
