Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mandie Murphree. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Mandie, thanks for joining us today. Can you tell us about a time where you or your team really helped a customer get an amazing result?
A couple clients life’s transformed once they honed in on their truest self and being confident in who they were.

Mandie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I started styling my friends in college. They were all brilliant, funny & awesome people but they did not dress well and lacked confidence in several areas. I worked with them to instill confidence and pull out their truest self. Once we worked together, their careers and love life’s went soaring. The majority of my clients who put in the work end up engaged within 6 months to a year of working alongside me.
I work to identify what makes a person feel the most comfortable, then they feel like themselves and they start to find they are more confident in every area of their life because they feel most like themselves.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I grew my audience on social media by asking questions that would appeal to the masses. Maybe it is asking what they struggle most with while they are getting ready or what is their favorite accessory to add to their outfit. This causes people to engage with you online and then follow you for relevant stories or feedback.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to unlearn that there are a bunch of different styling apps or websites, as well as, stylists all over the country. And I had to remind myself that I offer a unique vantage point and style of styling. I dig deeper into who a person is and help them understand other areas that may be holding them back. My first step with clients is taking them through a closet edit. This is where we assess what they own, clean out old items and donate items. This allows their minds to be more clear when we are shopping or putting outfits together. De cluttering your space is a pivotal part of the process and I know many stylists do not incorporate this into their methods.
We all can offer something unique to our clients and the biggest way to do that is to realize that every client is also unique in their own way.
