We recently connected with Miracle Bennett and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Miracle, thanks for joining us today. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?
This is actually a funny question. This is one of many things I am constantly thinking about. I am currently working two jobs along side completing my last year of undergrad at Spelman College while also pursing my career goals and dreams. I get in these moments where I feel as though school and work are standing in my way and sometimes even holding me back. But, then I sit back, talk to god and pray with the understanding that everything happens within time and everything I am going through is molding me into the person I am meant to become.
Although, I am still working regular jobs to support my creative and artistic dreams, I am loving every bit of it. Like I said, I may get frustrated and hopeless at times but I know that my journey is not linear and there will be ups and downs. As long as I continue to strive and push forward both creatively and spiritually, I know all of my hardwork will pay off.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I am a photographer, actress, and all around creative. I have always wanted to be an entertainer since I was three years old. I recall watching Sesame Street and imagining myself as one of the kids talking to Elmo. Through high school, I was apart of a local musical theatre program and I also started the drama program. During my senior year of high school, I worked on the yearbook committee as the photographer. Yet, I didn’t actually take photography serious until I brought my first camera in 2020. I believe everything that I was exposed to in high school and college guide me to where I am today. I believe everything happens for a reason.
Today I stand before you as a Professional Photographer and actress. I specialize in portrait photography, event and brand photography and I just began my interest in videography. As an actress, I have been apart of a few plays in school and I recently have done some extra work this past summer. I also have two short films coming out soon that I started in and produced.
Throughout my short career journey so far, I am extremely proud of the legacy I am creating. I am able to leave a mark on my clients through creating memorable moments for them. I love hearing my peers say I inspire them to be more creative and I am doing great things.
My mission as a Photographer is to create long last memories for my clients all while bringing the truth of themselves and their vision to life.
My mission as an Actress is to bring truth to the characters I play and use it as a driving force to tell a story that hopefully inspires others.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Consistency! Consistency! To those who are trying to build an audience on social media, the goal I learned is to be consistent. If you are consistent in posting and advocating for yourself and your work, it will eventually pay off. Don’t compare your followers or lack of exposure with anyone else on social media because it distracts you from your work and can cause you to doubt yourself. The number of likes & followers does not dictate how good your work is. Being consistent in your post and your intentions will bring the right audience to you. Don’t force it, let it come organically.

What do you find most rewarding about being creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is knowing that my work is an inspiration to others and leaving an impact. I love when people come up to me and say I saw your work and I love it. I love hearing the question “what’s next?” or “when’s the next gallery?”. I put a lot of love and care into my work and I am extremely happy when it is noticed and people understand the vision behind it.
