We were lucky to catch up with Samantha Stigler recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Samantha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about serving the underserved.
My purpose as photographer it’s exactly this: serving the underserved and giving a voice to the unheard.
Samantha, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Samantha Stigler. I’m from Peru and a new Orlando local.
My love for photography started at a very young age, I used to spend hours looking at my family’s photo albums, it felt like traveling in time. There’s always a little of that moment stuck in a photo.
The idea of being able to save a memory and share it in the future fascinated me and continues to do so.
I’ve always been empathetic of other people’s lives, pain and joy. Photography allows me to embrace that empathy, giving me the opportunity to share other people’s worlds.
I want the viewer to share what the person in my portrait is experiencing.
I want to show that we all are not so different from one another.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Yes, it’s to create a positive impact in the world, spreading the love and sharing people stories. All our lives are so valuable and we all deserve to be remember. We all have something to share that can make someone’s life better.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The opportunity of bringing attention to someone’s story.
