We recently connected with John Sanders and have shared our conversation below.

Hi John, thanks for joining us today. One of the toughest parts of scaling a business is maintaining quality as you grow. How have you managed to maintain quality? Any stories or advice?

Here at TrillionDollaKidd Chicago, We specialize in quality more than quantity and the reason behind that is simply because we want everyone to love the feel of what they are wearing from our brand . We want the item to fit and make the customer think about how good it feels on their skin along with making them look good from the designs to the material . That’s also a reason why we would charge more for the average t shirt or hoodie based off the way we lean towards quality. We want our customers to know we put work and love in to our pieces to make them feel special about their purchase.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

What’s going on everybody my name is John sanders but everybody knows me as TrillionDollaMulaa or TDKMulaa , I’m the owner of Illinois Fashion Brand TrillionDollaKidd Chicago aka The brand for all hustlers. I got into this industry because I always wanted to express my talents through something someone can feel and see it everyday on the normal basics plus more. We provide nothing but the best services when it comes to clothing especially with quality. We rather have the best limited pieces than the worst fully stocked pieces, only because we want any customer to get their gear and Feel like they made a great choice purchasing. I feel that what helps separate us from every other brand coming up and booming right now . On top of that our designs are next level and we try to use the best materials possible to have the best look with designs. I’m really proud of me making a lot of major moves with my business pushing myself to be one of the top fashion brands from my era . I have been in rooms with a lot of celebrities and influencers were there examining my work and telling me I have something really special on my hands and it helps me keep going !

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

I had to unlearn that everything that glitters isn’t gold . I lost a lot in the beginning before I started this brand with police encounters, countless arrests I got tired of being in that mix so i went after my dreams especially since we have one life to live we have to make the best of it . I’m the youngest out of 3 siblings but I want to make it the farthest out of my 3 siblings so I push myself harder everyday with becoming the person that I want to be .

Can you open up about a time when you had a really close call with the business?

It was a lot of times trying to promote the brand and making sales where I’ve came in contact with a lot of life or death situations . It was times where I’ve pulled up to some destinations and some people are on alert from other reasons so seeing me pull up makes them think like who the hell is this person causing them to have to make extra precautions. It was times where me selling gear at the wrong place wrong time but it happens in business at times it just you want to see the positive in every situation , see what can be done to simmer or handle the situation at hand . My case it is my clothing, me telling and people finding out I do fashion makes them feel a little bit more comfortable and interested in what I have to say or sell . My mindset is if it doesn’t kill you it makes You stronger and that’s with anything mentally, emotionally, physically.
