We were lucky to catch up with Tiffany Woodard recently and have shared our conversation below.
Tiffany , appreciate you joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I think it takes a combination of hardworking, having a clear vision & commitment in order to be successful. It’s one thing to have a vision but if you can’t stay committed to that vision, you’ll never be successful. Although your vision may have started off one way and maybe a few months later your vision is slightly different, staying committed to that vision will allow you to be able to not only meet but exceed your expectations for your business in order to be successful.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Tiffany Woodard and I started Events by Tiffany in 2019. At first, I started off with planning events such as birthday parties, engagements, baby showers etc. & providing day of wedding coordination but once Covid hit, that put a halt to everything. During the height of Covid, I was able to use my network and learn a new skill to add to my business which was balloon garlands. That is probably the thing I am most proud of in regards to my business because I was able to show my flexibility as a business owner and ability to be adaptable. I bring both of these qualities to every event and client that I interact with as well.
How did you build your audience on social media?
Social media has helped me to gain a lot of clients and build my network over the past few years. It’s important to remain consistent in your postings as well as being responsive to anyone that reaches out to you via social media.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Word of mouth has been the best source of generating new clients for me. I appreciate my clients for all of their kind words and reviews!
