Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jenny Bonham. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jenny, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
First, it takes vision. Without the vision of what you want to create- there is no creation of it. My mom used to say, “it all begins with a thought. Then she would say, “So think big!”
If we can think of how we want our business to look like; or whatever it is we want to accomplish in life. We start by taking the fear out of the equation. Ask yourself, “if I can do anything I want a guarantee of success, what do I want?” Figure that out & begin taking steps toward that vision. I like using vision boards so I can see it everyday! Next step is making a plan. Its perfectly fine if plans change. Whats important is that you have a plan which then allows you to take action. Begin with the end in mind then work backwards filling in your action steps to achieve your goal. The super ingredient to all of this is next! Here it is: Believe in the success of your goal! I believe that what kept my drive and excitement in creating my small party business is my belief in it. I knew that if I could show people the joy & wonder in experiencing a Lovebug party that it would be successful. It was during Covid when my business pivoted. I realized that we all have milestones that must be celebrated for each other no matter what the climate of the world was like. Were still having birthdays, anniversaries, & all of the things that need a little celebrating. We just needed to change things up a bit & do our celebrating a little differently.
This brings me to the next step in being sucessful with your goal. Creativity! We must be able to have flexibility and get creative when necessary. Changing things up a bit is exciting and keeps the newness in things. It allows for opportunities to pivot and grow! Finally, we must be consistent. Wake up everyday with the intention to stay the course. Remember this is not a quick race. Its a marathon. Staying consistent towards your goals will bring positive results every time. Keep moving forward!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I started in 2017 as a photobooth company. Bought a super cute vintage camper and revamped it into a modern mobile photobooth. I did this for a while as a side hustle while working my 8-5 job. I quickly realized that with the power of social media – I had the opportunity to significantly and quickly reach the community. So, I scouted out the wedding industry and discovered how to reach brides to be and began presenting my camper photobooth. I also did a lot of free events to gain community awareness about my product. This helped me gain experience on how to operate the camper and photobooth.
Fast forwrd to Covid and the infamous shutdown. I decided to pivot my business by offering outdoor picnics & decoration displays for drive-by showers. I felt empowered to help the community not lose sight of hope and the human element that links us all together. The love we share as families and friends was not going to be shutdown. So I went to work taking pictures & videos of my picnics and backdrops with balloons set ups & posting them on social media. I would go on stories and talk about how we can take our celebrations outside. I wanted everyone to see that we didnt have to skip birthdays and that it was important to continue on as best we could. We just needed to take our generational traditions and change them up a bit! I wanted to help our community continue on by showing them ways to celebrate the important events in our lives!
This quickly caught on by word of mouth and by June of 2020, I was able to quit my 8-5 and go all in with what turned into a full party & event rentals business.
This is not just a way for me to make a living. Bringing these experiences to my clients has turned into a 24/7 passion. The idea that I get to bring a little more joy to people for even just a day is the greatest gift Ive ever received. It keeps me driven, seems to provide endless energy, & best of all- the creativity I get to produce is priceless. Getting the opportunity to make our corner of the world a little bit brighter is the Lovebug mission.
As of today, we offer teepee sleepovers, luxury styled picnics, photobooths, and decoration decor for small & large events!
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I’m just a phone call away. Everyone has access to me first hand by calling or texting me. Social media is a great platform to communicate with each other, namely Instagram, Facebook, & TikTok. I also have an email newsletter that goes out periodically. If anyone wants to be on the newsletter- just message me your email!

How did you build your audience on social media?
Find a way to be authentic. Be consistent and creative. Remember each platform has a different culture. You learn that culture by being on each platform over time. Nourish your community by giving thoughtful responses and asking questions. to keep the conversation going. Once your community gets to know, like, and trust you…the magic will happen!
