We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Logan Raposo. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Logan below.
Logan, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
I learned how to perform through studying on my own, then studying professionally at Bristol Community College private coaching from retired UCLA professor Tim Hillman.
I believe I could’ve sped up the learning process if I was more open to being authentic. That was the best lesson I was taught early on. I may have been proficient at the craft but I didn’t know myself as well as I should’ve. Looking back I wish I had embraced what made me, me much sooner.
The most essential skills were definitely studying the psychology and business side of acting. I took numerous psychology electives to better understand humans, on top of studying on my own through observations in a variety of shows and people watching. I also studied businesses and finances thoroughly on my own to better myself, we’re not just artists, we’re also businessmen/women as well. Those were equally as important as studying my craft.
The biggest obstacle in my way was simple, my ego. You know what they say, you think you know everything when you’re young.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I am 28 year old non-union on-screen/voice actor. I got into the business around 2014 through content creation after suffering from a year long battle of infections in my GI system that almost killed me. In 2015 I changed my major to a theatre major, graduated top of my program in 2016 and then I made the jump into on-screen acting.
I offer a service as an on screen performer/personality for a multitude of mediums ranging from films, commercials, music videos, pilots, etc. As a voice actor I offer services with animation/videogame character work, commercials, narrations and audio books. What sets me apart from others is my unwaivering drive/determination to succeed along with my resourcefulness. I’m a first generation american and I pride myself on being able to solve problems as quickly as possible.
I am most proud of my authenticness. I wear my heart on my sleeve and no matter what I make sure I never lose who I am or become something I’m not. I have numerous accomplishments in my career but to me that is the best accomplishment I achieved.

: Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The particular mission that drives me is I want to show any aspiring performers that anything is possible. I grew extremely poor in a run down house in a dangerous neighborhood. I worked hard on all facets of my skillset to be the best actor I could be and I succeeded because of that. I want to inspire others and more so teach them that they can do this as well. The messages I receive from friends and aspiring artists keeps me going as a performer.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The journey, 100% the journey. I’ve been able to travel to places across the country for work, connect with people all over the globe, meet so amazing people I’m happy to call my friends, and be able to experience life to the fullest. It’s not a singular moment or reaching a goal that will bring you the happiness, it’s the journey getting to that point.
