We were lucky to catch up with Leah Osborn recently and have shared our conversation below.

Leah, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

Hello, my name is Leah Osborn with Leah Michelle Photography!

I am a San Diego Native! At the age of 10 I began storing a brown cardboard box of family photos in my room and would look at these photos often. I have loved photographs/prints since I can remember. I purchased my very first camera in 2003 when I traveled to Europe. I remember enjoying taking photos on this trip but what excited me the most was to share my experience through these photos with my friends and family.

I have been shooting and creating memories within our local community both personally and professionally. I got my start in professional photography shooting Architecture, Home Interiors and Landscape and have been photographing San Diego Real Estate since 2014. Shooting real estate can be a really fun challenge but there is nothing like a creative portrait.

Early on in my photography journey I discovered that I feel MOST ALIVE when I am creating. Photos, Dance, Art, People, Nature, Love and Stories, are all things that inspire me. I feel Photography is a beautiful recipe for all of these things I enjoy and love. I am devoted to building strong and meaningful relationships while creating images for you to share with your world for a lifetime. This is where I thrive and this is where I shine!

My breakthrough moment in Photography happened in 2018 when I accepted the opportunity to Photograph my first wedding with over 150 guests in attendance. Experiencing a Wedding through a Photographer lens was the most rewarding experience. After successfully capturing this beautiful day unfold, I said to myself, “I can do this, and so I will!”

Fast forward to October 2021 and LeahMichellePhotos was born! I resigned from my decade long Real Estate Career to pursue and operate my full-time Photography business. The best decision I have made in my professional career has been choosing to create stunning Portraits and experiences for others.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

1 year ago LeahMichellePhotos was born! I resigned from my decade-long Real Estate Career to pursue and operate my full-time Photography business. There have been a lot of setbacks and breakthrough moments. The best decision I have made in my professional career has been choosing to create stunning Portraits and experiences for others. And I am just getting started…
