Shakiyah, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Shakiyah i was born & raised in Brooklyn NY; in my early twenties I relocated to Middletown. I have always had a deep passion for natural products. In 2020 I enrolled in Aveda Arts Institute where I obtained my esthetic license. I am a licensed esthetician & the owner of KHLOÈ BELLA LLC, we carry natural skin care products & provide facial & body waxing services to the general public. I specialize in corrective skin care for multicultural skin. KHLOÈ BELLA LLC started as a hobby. This fun pass time activity of creating skin care regiments quickly turned into a business venture. Growing up with eczema I struggled to find a products to help heal my skin condition. Often times many products which were promoted to be top seller to assist with my skin condition would not work. This caused me great alarm and ignited a passion within to create products that I was sure would work for me. During my pregnancy, I began to experiment with different formulas. This is when I created various products that could be used on myself and on my daughter as well. Time progressed and people began to request my products. It was in that moment I decided to shift my focus and start my very own all natural skin care line. As my clientele grew, people began to request treatment for many different skin conditions. I then decided to educate my myself so I can meet their needs. I enrolled in Aveda arts institute where I gained my esthetics license. An experience with me will always be a personal experience, I make sure to cater to my clients as much as possible. I believe it’s important to make sure your client feel good on the inside and out. A simple “how was your day ?”can change someone day for the better with out you knowing. I educate my clients on the importance of skin care & healthy living. Seeing the results as well as the joy from the client makes me very proud. My brand is named after my daughter KHLOÈ BELLA, which was created in hopes to build a legacy for my daughter and show other children it is possible to turn their passion into a business. As a single parent and entrepreneur, I have set a goal for my business, KHLOÈ BELL LLC, to be sold through out the United States and internationally and for me to be licensed in all 50 states within 3 to 5 years.
The products we offer are facial cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, eye cream, acne mask, body butter & body scrub.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
As a new business owner be sure to do your research before you make a big investment. I recommended everyone to have a coach/mentor , someone who have experience in almost everything you will experience. Be opened, never feel you know it all. If your willing to learn you will definitely grow. When I first started my business I tried to figure everything out on my own & do it myself. I refused to pay for coaches, social media managers etc. I noticed I would find myself putting out a lot of money yet there was no return profit. I felt as if I hit a brick wall, business was at a complete stand still.

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I follow up with all my clients, it is important for me to know how you skin is reacting to the products and or the service I provided. First follow is always a phone calls, remember you want to try to keep it as personal as possible let the client know you care & they have your full attention.
Automated emails or text message.
Have a loyalty program in place for clients, offer special deals to those who are apart of the program such as birthday specials, randomly send gift cards or discount codes. Your Client won’t be disappointed.
