Alright, Ana thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.

Hello,

My Name is Ana Fuentes, Iam a wife to an amazing husband Jose Fuentes, we have four beautiful children. We also have the privilege to sever as the Lead pastors to an awesome church in Apopka FL. In 2021 I had been working at Advent Health Full time in the Cardiology Dept. I have always worked in the medical field working 12 hours shifts was not easy at all. However, after working through the pandemic I thought is this really what I want to do. In addition, speaking to one of the ladies from our church she encourages me to start my own business. I had no clue where to begin no one had ever ask me to start my own business before. I had many nights where I would cry trying to figure things out and many days when I wanted to give up and just go back to the medical field because I felt comfortable in that setting because I knew what, I was doing. However, I’ve learned that new beginning come with challenges and that I had to learn to embrace feeling uncomfortable in order to get comfortable in this new journey.

So, after speaking with my husband I decided to take a leap of faith and leave my Job to pursue to dream full time. After doing a lot of research I was able to get my LLC and name my business Fountains of Grace which is my last name Fuentes in English is Fountains and Ana means Grace. In the pass year I have be able to collaborate with other business owner as I Lauch my business I also have a website https://mystorefountainsofgrace.com and a Facebook and Instagram shop where I get the most of my clients from.

Every day I wake up to encouraged myself to be better than what I was yesterday. It is really only through the Grace of God that Iam able to do what I do. My motivational quote is found in the bible
” For I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength and courage”. Philippians 4:13. I also believe, in this other quote by R.S Grey I have said this to my self-many times ‘she Believe she could, so she did. I have learned to believe in myself before anyone else does.

Today Iam grateful and bless to say that I have helped other people start the process to their LLC and I have also inspired, motivated and encouraged my 11-year-old daughter to pursue her own dream in become an entrepreneur. Two months ago, my daughter started her own bracelets business on Instagram “@braceletsfrommariah”. she has sold more than 100 bracelets already. Being able to see my daughter at 11 years old evolve to purse her dreams and believe she can own her business at her age bring me pure joy. If me taking this risk was just to show my daughter that there is more than just working a 9-5, then it was all worth it. Every day we motivate and encourage each other with new ideas and creativity.

Fountains of Grace is a faith base business that believes in reaching people through God’s Grace and love with our handcrafted items my husband and I are the lead Pastores to Iglesia Casa Del Alfarero/ Potter’s House Church.

I have learned to believe in who God created me to be and through my business and creativity I have been able to reach others with a positive message of hope and encouragement I have design and personalize items such as T-shirts, Mugs, and Tote -Bags, keychains ect, for other new business owners and other clients.

Clients can expect personalized attention, respect and honesty. There are moments when a personalized item means so much to an individual, such as a Rip t-shirt of a loved one or a simple Mother’s or Father’s Day mug or just an item with a beautiful word can provide hope and encouragement to anyone.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

Prior to starting Fountains of Grace, I worked in the hospital I completely enjoyed helping other in fact I looked forward to going to work every day. I felt comfortable and secure in my job. The idea of starting my own business was never a though or an idea, it wasn’t until a friend ask me the question have you ever thought of starting your own business? No, I reply to her. I had never been asked that question before. so, I really never thought about it. After taken some time to imagine myself as a business owner was nearly just a thought. Just the feeling of knowing that I had to learn something new scared me. knowing that I depend on a steady check every two week was comfortable for me. but after the pandemic I realized that nothing is really so secure after all. So, I decided to take a leap of faith and challenge myself to feel uncomfortable, I didn’t allow fear to paralyze my dream, so I had to unlearn the feeling of secure and depending on a check every two week. I learn to depend on my skills and creativity skills that I didn’t know I had.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

Throughout this journey I had to learn to be resilience for so many years I heard the famous quote of Albert Einstein

‘Education is not the Learning of the facts but the Training of the mind to Think’.

Every time I fail when making a t-shirt or a mug was just a reminder that I was unlearning to learn.

I’ve learned to adapt to difficult and challenging experiences in order to become stronger mentally, emotional, and spiritually when you set your mind which is a powerful think to not give up, giving up will never be an option for you.
