We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Claude Langley Jr.. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Claude below.
Claude, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
I originally started my business under the name Visuals By Capo. After missing out on lucrative opportunities due to the meaning behind the name and taking heed to advice from some mentors in the photography game, I decided to change to Visuals By Claude. I received new opportunities almost overnight and moved to the more corporate route with my photography work since then.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
First, my name is Claude Langley, and I’m six years strong in professional photography. After graduating from architecture school, I got into my industry and felt I didn’t want to work in that industry in the long run. I always had an eye for photography, but at the time, I didn’t see it as something I could make a living doing until I decided to go full force and started receiving consistent clientele. It’s a decision I still feel was the best move for me as a person and creative. Visuals by Claude focuses on the clean and sharp approach to visual art. With a background in architecture and design, I utilize geometry and creative angles when capturing my photos. I offer various photography styles from lifestyle, real estate, architectural, influencer, automotive, event, and corporate photography. Most of my clients come to me with a vision, and my only goal is to bring it to fruition and add my creative touch to things, but I have those moments where I’m coming up with everything from the initial concept to the final product and everything in between. One thing that sets my work aside from others is how my images have a simplistic but creative nature – I use the things around me to create captivating imagery – you’ll rarely see me in a studio unless I collaborate.
I’m most proud of how far I’ve come by believing in my work and staying true to who I am and what inspires me. Outside of that, I feel like all obstacles are meant to be overcome. I want potential clients and followers to know that I’m a jack of all trades looking to bring lifestyle photography in all facets to the mainstream and get back to organic street photography. I’m not against fashion/studio work, but that’s not me, and I’m okay with that.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
My reputation within my market came organically through being out in the mix and all the events between 2015-2021, doing free photoshoots when it made sense, and building relationships with those I genuinely connected with, not necessarily only people or businesses I could benefit from. I’ve always been personable, so; it wasnt a difficult task once I was face to face with potential clients and business partners.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Oh, fasho, financial freedom, and doing what I want to do when I want to! Outside of that, of course, making myself and my people proud.
