We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Letitia Council. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Letitia below.
Letitia , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
My business was birthed through my daughter, Ja”Nasia Miller. She was in a motor car vehicle accident at the age 18, and sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). We as a family didn’t know what TBI was until I begin doing my research. The medical professional didn’t provide us with much education nor other resources. Days of my daughter being in ICU I was walking down the hall, ask God, “what can I do to assist moms and their teens, I know it’s something”, this was August 2019. So I waited patiently for God’s answer all while being at the hospital day in and day out. We were told the night of the accident that our daughter’s quality of life would soon come to an end. I believe God for Miracle, Signs and Wonders and He didn’t just that. January 2020 we had to go back to the hospital for our daughter’s second surgery and that’s when God gave me Nasia Foundation. Nasia Foundation was official in April 2020 as a 501c3 nonprofit organization that focus on youth, young adults and caregivers support to families affected by Traumatic Brain Injury. God mandated this business , He gave me this assignment because He trusted me to be the willing vessel to assist other parents on their journey of TBI. With everything we had to learn I can now provide healthy tips to decrease stress levels especially for the caregivers, I able to provide healthy tips to care for their child. This journey isn’t easy you express grief as well. Your child isn’t the same, your life isn’t the say, you began to lack hope. I like “hope” for a good while because my life had change due to trauma. I trusted God through the entire process, yes even with the lack of hope I had, my hope was lack not lost. When my daughter recovery began to improve my hope cup was begin to fill back up. I knew our organization would flourish because God’s hands was already upon my business before it was even birthed. Providing the community about TBI education has been impactful, we don’t think of injuries/illness until we actually experience them. Bringing TBI awareness to the frontline has been created. I collaborate with other local nonprofits in the community so we together can better serve those affected by TBI.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Don’t let obstacles like trauma and grief stop you from becoming the best version of yourself. It’s easy to stay down but the greatest challenge is when you Rise up from the ashes of your trauma. Seek counseling to assist you will releasing what is holding you hostage. Seek God and invite Him in to guide you through your journey. Rising up and becoming resilience is best feeling in the world. So don’t be fearful, be fearless and conquer all that God has for you. If I would’ve let the trauma and grief that came to knock me down keep me down I wouldn’t be sharing my story to as evidence that they to can overcome and conquer.
