Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Isabella LoRe. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Isabella thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Have you been able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen? Was it like that from day one? If not, what were some of the major steps and milestones and do you think you could have sped up the process somehow knowing what you know now?
There are a lot of misconceptions when it comes to earning an income from social media. I think the one I often come across is that it is a super quick process. I found out pretty quickly that wasn’t true. I often heard that to be successful as a social media creator, you have to be in it because you truly love creating, not for money. Although it’s cheesy, I have found this really rings true. I have built up my YouTube channel and other platforms for years, every single day. Social media is truly about showing up for your audience in a genuine way every single day. If you love what you do, showing up consistently is a lot easier. After putting in a ton of time, I feel so incredibly grateful and lucky to be able to earn an income through my social platforms.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Bella LoRe, and I am a college lifestyle YouTuber and micro-influencer on social media. In addition to this, I am a college senior studying public relations and advertising at UNC Chapel Hill. I am super passionate about creating college centered content, especially on my YouTube channel. As a transfer student, I love being able to share my unique college experience with my audience. I am so grateful to have been able to work with some incredible brands through my social platforms, such as HBOMax and Amazon Prime Student.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
One of the most rewarding aspects of being a small social media creator is not only being able to connect with my audience, but to also help them start their social media journey. I truly believe becoming a social media creator is about passion and persistence. You need to genuinely enjoy what you do, and show up for your audience every day. In terms of getting started, I always suggest getting content inspiration from creators you love. Start small, with one platform, and truly dedicate yourself to posting and interacting there every day. Do your research on SEO, hashtags, and anything technical you can find to help your content reach more people.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
My most helpful resources as a social media creator are my fellow creators. I have had the incredible opportunity to create lifelong bonds with people from across the world due to our shared love of online creation. Your best resource is learning from others you have gone through what you are going through now. Reach out and interact with the people you look up to!
