Loundie, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?

One thing my parents did right was showing me that hardwork can get you anywhere in life. My parents are Haitian refugees. They brought 10 of their children including my aunts, uncles and cousins to the United States when I was 2yrs old literally with nothing, no English and just a vision to provide a better life for our family.

Hello! My name is Loundie Chery, I was born in port-au-Prince Haiti and raised in Kansas City,Mo. I own a Real Estate services business that’s provided notary signing, finger printing and passport headshots.

How I got into Real Estate was being fed up with my previous career as a financial analyst. I became board and just tired of the same routine. In November of 2020 I quit my financial analyst job and enrolled myself into Real Estate school. What caught my interest in real estate was “ selling sunset” on Netflix. I was aware of real estate since some of my peers were already active realtor but selling sunset told me the dream! Until I got licenses I started learning and working in the back in of real estate. With that I obtained my notary commissioned with the state of Missouri. Along with that I opened my first LLC. I then learned more about the back end of Real estate such as the closing side and property management.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?

The best source to meet new clients is word of mouth! And advertising as much as you can. The ones that know you and like your business will go everywhere you go and that’s with sharing with friends and family.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?

I remember my real estate professor saying “ don’t quit your day job” I ran with that lesson. Until today I work a 9-5pm job to fund my business. Until I have access to the help I need.
