We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful William Lassiter. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with William below.
William, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
The story behind my mission is simple, to tell the customers story through the art. If I can bring out true, raw, and real emotion through the art then I have done my job. Pictures can have a thousand meanings just by looking at it, so why not share your story through it as well.
I remember one specific customer I had who struggled with accepting the way they looked. Once I was able to finish the shoot and share the final product with them they shed tears of joy. Their first words were “wow, this is the first time I can actually see the beauty in myself.”
William, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Well, my name is William Lassiter and I am the Founder/CEO of Lassiter Family Productions. I offer the services of photography, videography, directing, and consulting. I do anything from Graduation shoots to filming short films and documentaries. I am not one of those photographers who cakes on layers and layers of filters, I will keep the product recognizable and still crisp.
The main thing I want you all to know is that I care about the stories behind the pictures.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the reaction of the customer. It bring s great joy and satisfaction knowing that the client is happy with your work.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I started an Instagram page for my business and started posting content. I need to do a better job of being consistent in posting but the other major thing I did was go on Instagram Live and promote the page, whether it was through collaborations or not.
