We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Rachael Coleman. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Rachael below.
Alright, Rachael thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you tell us the backstory behind how you came up with the idea?
When I first started college, I learned a lot about the industry. There are, of course, things I love but I wanted to change the things I didn’t like. I hated the Idea of a starving artist, so many famous artists that we know today all died broke and homeless. None of them got the glory for their work until Death; by then, does it truly matter? I am creating a space for Artists to be seen and heard so they can all get their flowers before death and after.
Rachael, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Well, I am a single mother of three boys and with their constant love and support, I can strive for greatness. I started this Journey at a low point in my life. Going to many colleges before deciding what was meant for me, helped my goals. Learning multiple things contributed to my growth so now I don’t have any excuses, I know how to do pretty much everything. So, I knew doing my craft I would be good. Creating my art is therapy for me, Painting, ceramics, crafting, graphics, the business side, and my most prize is writing. When I write I can remove myself and indulge completely in the story. So that is what I am most proud of.
Of course, everyone goes through things and hiccups when it comes to having their own business, but the goal is to learn from everything and everyone while perfecting your ambitions. Life will always throw a foul in the play, but the game doesn’t end. I am in a new place, with the same goals, the same, and some new people. But overall, I just want to help others reach their goals while also chasing mine.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect is seeing the final product and knowing that it’s loved.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on NFTs. (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice
I think it can be profitable but only for someone who has a big enough stake in it. I do believe as an artist it’s highly creative but the illegal aspect of it is what makes it a questionable case.
