We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Eb Mason a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Eb, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

I started my business in August 2016 from the ground up, no business loans or handouts, just out of my own pockets. I always had this thought of skincare in my mind because I started with horrible skin and nothing worked for me, so I started researching natural ingredients for skin and started on myself then went to my friends, everything worked but I was procrastinating about it because I was so worried if it would do good or not but I also knew I had what it took I was just very indecisive. After going through a very hard time from losing my grandmother two days after my bday in July, it hit me that this is what I’m supposed to be doing she knew I would be great at it so eventually I ended up launching it the next month! So boom fast forward to August, I immediately had orders coming left and right, it’s funny now but I had a list of my products and I’m not sure Cashapp was popping then so it was either cash or PayPal for the longest and then I realized I was still grieving so many other things in my life. I took months off after going hard for the first nine months to just revamp my brand and get my mind right and in Jan 2018 I relaunched my brand with a new list and better products.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I make all natural skin products for men, women and teenagers and the products help with many skin conditions as far as Acne, eczema, hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and they also assist in maintaining people who already have “clear skin”. I have a daily cleanser, toner, multiple scrubs for face and body, and body wash, moisturizer, & body oil ! I’m also an Esthetician practicing in Facials, Chemical peels, & Full Body Waxing, and Henna Brows, ! Most ppl will say I’m a “Skin Queen” lol in my area. First time I heard that I laughed because I would have never thought of that! I sit up and watch videos All Day & night concerning skin! I’ve helped so many ppl with their confidence to glow naturally that ppl hashtag that they are apart of the #GlowGang now! That’s what it’s all about because I want everyone to feel good in their skin! I want everyone to feel comfortable coming to me with any concern they may have. Also as of August 2022 I graduated Massage Therapy School! I really would love to be a one stop shop for Self Care !

I’m extremely proud that I’ve service over 650+ People in my surrounding area that some of my clients drive over 1-2 hours just to come see me! I’m all about Quality and staying true to myself! So many people have commented on how good my energy is when they enter my shop! From how easy it is to talk to me from the vibe of the music that plays, everyone enjoys it.

We’d love to hear the story of how you turned a side-hustle into a something much bigger.

Although while I started my business on the side and had a full time Corporate Job, I deep down knew this would be my future! I started with my products and as I seen how well I was doing with results, and thinking I’m really changing peoples lives I knew it would be no time that this would be my Full Time Career soon enough! I manifested my business to be well off enough to where I could quit my job! Although I was making great money working Corporate, My skincare line and Being an Esthetician was my passion! It was my heart, my love, my everything! I worked super Hard ! I worked day and night for this I prayed every night to be able to quit my stressful job! Although, running a business is super stressful, I would rather be stressed over my own thing, ya know. In march 2020 I woke up one day and literally quit my job and never looked back! I never forget how I felt that morning while I woke up to get ready for work. I literally said “yeah, I’m not clocking in, this isn’t for me anymore”

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I believe me posting NONSTOP rather it was skin tips, before and after pictures, videos truly help me build my reputation. Social media is a big thing currently to the point people will see me post and then see me out and be like you’re Eb the girl who does facials or waxes! Some ppl I recognize but some I don’t and that’s what I love that people are intrigued by what I do and how I do it. The love has been so real this entire journey, I can’t lie. Me being myself through out it all has definitely been a big thing for me as well! People recognize that and they like it.
