We were lucky to catch up with Nya Anderson recently and have shared our conversation below.
Nya, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
TheNyyCollection, also known as TNC offers a range of jewelry and croc charms. Our goal is to accessorize the natural beauty a person already portrays. TNC opened on the basis of making women feel confident in their jewelry choices. Knowing that you have on long lasting jewelry that not only brings attention, it relieve the stress of wondering if your piece will tarnish or break. In addition, crocs have always been a favorite to the CEO. If your jewelry accessorizes you, you should be able to accessorize your shoes also! No need in ever having boring crocs when you have plenty charms to choose from. Having the opportunity to provide charms that you won’t find somewhere else and showcase something you like is a great opportunity.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
TheNyyCollection first debuted as The Lavish Look in May of 2020. At that time we were a cosmetic and jewelry based company. As interest changed and the demand changed, I realized that that was not the industry for me anymore. In December of 2021, TheNyyCollection launched as “The Home of the Best Croc Charms”. These charms were my best seller every since. Charms were selling out every restock and were always in demand. With these charms I offered a collection of nose rings and nose cuffs. I suffer from bad allergies and as a person who always wanted their nose pierced, I resorted to nose cuffs which served as a no piercing needed alternative. As of September 24th, we will be launching a new collection “The Beaded Collection”. This collection of beaded bracelets comes in many shades and colors to continue complimenting your look. I am most proud of the growth of my business and the people who recognize my hard work. Being in college and running a business is hard when it comes to having time but I know that my loyal customers will always be there each step of the way. I want my customers to know that they can always talk to me and ask questions about anything. I am here to be an influence on others to follow their dreams and don’t let anything deter you from that.
Okay – so how did you figure out the manufacturing part? Did you have prior experience?
Finding the right supplier for products that are not hand made is a tedious task. I found the right vendor just by doing research on wholesale websites such as alibaba.com. Reading reviews, asking questions and even testing samples are necessary steps when trying to find the right vendor. Shipping can also be a hassle when it comes to choosing which shipping company and see the cost to get goods from overseas. I found the right vendor simply by talking to their representative and understanding how they can be of connivence to me. When finding a vendor do not limit your search, find which one will suit your and your demand best.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
The best source of new clients for me is the power of TikTok. Posting relatable videos and videos of what you sell with good music keep people intrigued and come to your page to learn more. On TikTok you have to be consist with your content. Always use updated music and trending sounds. Keep it short sweet and simple!
