We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tim Zittle. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tim below.
Alright, Tim thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
One of the things I’m most grateful for when it comes to the outside-the-classroom education my parents diligently provided for me was to instill in me an immigrant mindset. This included values like a hard work ethic, personal responsibility, ingenuity and resourcefulness. As a result and with their encouragement, I started my first business at 12 years old and have been building or growing businesses ever since.
In this country with all the resources provided to us- there are no limits to what you can achieve- provided you are willing to do the work to make it happen. Thousands of successful patient encounters, two health centers, a podcast, coaching/consulting clients, regular speaking opportunities and several cities later- I am just beginning to scrape the surface of what is possible and my vision is ever expanding- all thanks to the foundation that my parents intentionally set throughout my childhood. They are true heroes in my life.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I exist to help people become the best versions of themselves.
From a very young age, I’ve had a passion for helping people achieve what is important to them.
After starting my first job within a physical therapy clinic at 15, it didn’t take me long to realize the unique relationships that could come from helping people in a consistent area of need- health. While this is often immediately associated with the area of physical health, I have invested my life into the study of health on all levels including physical, mental, emotional and especially the health of teams and organizations.
As a result of investing years of time and energy into this field, I’ve been able to take part in some incredible opportunities. I’ve helped to grow and maintain the largest chiropractic offices in the Southeastern US, consulted multiple businesses leading to exponential growth and have been a regular lecturer and speaker at conferences and events around the nation since 2016. I also took on an internship position with Ronnie Doss- the top performance specialist in America- in early 2021 and have been able to utilize what I’ve learned through that to create pivotal relationships and growth opportunities for some of the most influential market leaders in the country.
My current passion project is growing and developing Treehive- a multifaceted health center in the Parker, CO area as it continues to become a force for positive change in the local community. While founded in 2019, it has experienced significant forward movement even through the pandemic shut downs and other consistent adversity. We focus on several disciplines including chiropractic, neuropathy and nutrition for a well rounded lifestyle. Treehive is moving chiropractic forward with the most advanced techniques and analysis- without twisting, popping and cracking. Our neuropathy program has undergone significant clinical research and boasts a 97% success rating- all without the use of drugs or surgery. In short, we help people feel and function better with state-of-the-art care so they can focus more on what matters most to them in life.
In addition to my career in the healthcare field, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have worked in some of the largest health centers in the country, encouraging growth and improving efficiency. I have interned under America’s top performance specialist assisting with growing the mindset and productivity of CEO’s, performance artists and corporations. I’ve empowered leaders to transform their businesses from the brink of failure into award winning organizations- and through it all- I have only seen my passion for seeing others achieve success grow stronger.
Health in any form is your greatest asset. With it, people and organizations rise. Without it, they fall. My commitment is to support you and the health of what is important to you so that you can achieve everything you set your mind to.
Can you open up about how you managed the initial funding?
I love the story behind Treehive because it is the project that almost wasn’t.
Having previously opened up a health center in Columbus, Ohio before moving to Colorado, I knew that I would need a solid business plan that would include area demographics, how and when to onboard team members, a list of equipment already owned or needing to be purchased along with detailed projections for how our finances would grow once opened. I also had a plan for how we would use our tenant improvement allowance from our landlord and the quote of our entire buildout from our contractor ready to be put into play.
I took this twenty-six page exhaustive plan to bank after bank, each one telling me that because I did not already have at least an equal amount of cash in the bank to the amount I wanted to borrow- they ultimately couldn’t help me.
Twenty-one banks said no. I remember pouring the last of my savings into my first payment to my contractor to at least start the build out process and not having enough money in my account to pay for my next tank of gas or weekly groceries. And then out of nowhere, a friend called in a favor to get me in front of the twenty-second bank which was able to come through at the eleventh hour and help us fund the project in full.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Team is the heart of what we do. Everything rises and falls on how well our team comes together and brings the best of themselves to our every day. As a leader- it’s up to me to set the standard on how to take care of ourselves first, then to serve from a full cup to those we come in contact with.
Our team thrives in an environment where training is a constant and innovation a necessity. We refuse to settle for the status quo or to get comfortable in what we already know. By studying the Navy SEALs, NASA and other high performing teams- we continually raise the bar for what we believe we can do. We have learned the art of how to love doing hard things.
At the end of the day- we have a primary goal to love people well and serve people well. Everything else is a byproduct of that aim.
At the end of 2021, we realized that we were spending too much time trying to please everyone and that our own health and happiness had fallen to the wayside as a result. We reset our intentions to rebel against the cultural norm that our worth exists only in what we can do or be for others and determined to focus on these three things:
1. Reprioritizing and choosing what is right or best for us.
2. Focusing on the basics and doing the small things well consistently over time
3. Finding what matters most to us and standing firmly for those things
With this new resolution, we’ve had a steady and determined start to 2022 and are looking forward to our best year yet!
