We recently connected with Josh Lujan and have shared our conversation below.
Josh, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
When I was a kid, I didn’t understand the importance of balance. To make time for the things that make you feel human. To do, what I now call, your ‘Dailies’. The 6 daily basics to feel good: Eat, Sleep, Hydrate, Connect, Move, and Get Outside. Singularly, they all feel like no-brainers, but together, they make all the difference.
Growing up, I played a lot of video games, and despite my parents telling me there was more to life, it was difficult for me to grasp that message. My mission, is lead by example, and show gamers (or any walk of life), that you can do your Dailies, feel good, and still game.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’ve been gaming my entire life. Really, I spent too much time gaming, and ended up where I am now ~ livestreaming video games to an online audience on Twitch.tv. Although sharing gaming tips, pushing rankings, and min-maxing my online characters are exciting moments, the moments I am most proud of are when members of the community share that they have begun implementing tips from the ‘Dailies’ and are beginning to feel better. Whether it’s weight loss, weight gain, or just feeling physically or mentally better, having another human being share that progress is an incredible feeling.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I started building an online audience by showing up. Showing up despite anyone listening. This is the hard part, because it’s difficult to speak in a room with no one there. But patience allows momentum to build, having 3-4 people there is much better than 0, and before you know it those 3-4 people shared with their friends, and those friends shared with their friends. Being authentic with yourself, putting yourself out there, and giving it time to flourish is the name of the game!

What else should we know about how you took your side hustle and scaled it up into what it is today?
Yes. This is a question I get asked all the time, how to become a ‘streamer’. My advice is to do something because you want to, because you love it. After work, you can do what you love, enjoy it, and simultaneously be putting hours into creating your side hustle into the main hustle. I was in college and part time streaming for 4 years before finally taking things full time, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way, because I can see the journey of how I got here, and it makes that much sweeter.
