Boki , appreciate you joining us today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.

About 6 years ago, a steel shelf fell on my head, as I was setting up an office at work. I worked as an operations manager at a accounting software company, and I was in charge of relocating the company to a new location. It was interesting because just moments before the shelf fell on my head, I was thinking how I can definitely keep my corporate job and run my company, Divine Remedy Healing, on the side. I could make it all work, because the idea of walking away from a safe paycheck was scary. Of course, the second the shelf hit me, I thought “Well this must be Divine intervention. My guides are clearly disagreeing with me, lol”. I went back to work just 4 days later with a contusion on my head, suffering from a concussion, and this followed a year of dealing with some intense symptoms. It was really a struggle to get through the day, let alone function at full capacity. Looking back, I probably would have done a lot of things differently, but I was literally dealing with a head injury and not thinking straight. I was actually getting progressively worse and not better, and just a couple of days before my scheduled vacation, I reached my limit. I couldn’t do it anymore. My doctor agreed and put me on a two-week sick leave. During these two weeks, I realized just how unkind I was to myself, how much I pushed myself and fed into the fear, making myself believe that this was the only way for me to survive. I realized that life should not be a struggle to simply get up and make it to your place of work and it definitely should not be about getting through the day because you don’t have the capacity to do anything else. For the first time in my life, I decided to choose me, to love me and to make me the most important thing in my life. I had already been growing my company Divine Remedy Healing on the side and doing work that not only I loved but work that was helping others. I finally decided to leave the corporate job and take a leap of faith that the Universe was going to have my back. I trusted that I would find a way to grow my company quickly and as long as I was healthy and well everything would fall into place. That was 4 years ago, and I never looked back. This was not only the defining moment of my professional career, but of my entire life. In one split second, I changed my trajectory and chose a different path for myself. It is the moment I am still the proudest of and the moment I often recall, especially on those lonely entrepreneur days when we question if we made the right choice.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I say I am what’s often referred to as a ‘wounded healer’, meaning my own life experiences awakened my inner healer and led me to a path of exploring holistic modalities like Reiki, Aromatherapy, Human Design, Meditation, Empowerment, and more. I know that if I can make a difference in just one person’s life, I will fulfill my life purpose and destiny. Out of my own struggle, was born the energy worker and healer I am today. I specialize in Self Mastery techniques and combine elements from many different modalities in my work. What makes me different is my ability to translate energy in a way anyone can understand, and connect deeply with my clients. I have a unique gift of seeing right into someone’s heart and soul and seeing their path and trajectory. Combined with my ability to explain how their energy works, how they are designed and what they can do to heal and decondition in order to align with who they truly are, creates a powerful formula that produces results and success. I work with clients globally to help them get on the path of success, abundance and joy. My signature Soul Advisory sessions have helped clients gain better jobs, advance in their careers, expand their businesses, start successful relationships, gain confidence and most importantly learn how to pour more love and compassion into themselves so they can live a more balanced and joyful life. In my spare time, I create organic and natural aromatherapy products for the body, mind and soul as well as high grade gemstone jewelry. One thing my clients always tell me is that “I love your products! They do exactly what they are supposed to.” And, they do! I think of my products as little magical potions that carry a piece of my heart with them that I send into the world to create powerful change for the better. I am the person to call when you are going through a difficult time and need a safe space, support, insight and wisdom to not only raise above it but to reach the other side as a whole new, confident, powerful and unstoppable being that you are created to be.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?

Success in any field requires dedicated work and focus. This is especially true in the holistic world as we see more and more people attempting to start a business. I think one of the mistakes most people make is thinking that they have this great service or product and the second they announce it to the world, the masses will get in line to purchase it. When this doesn’t happen, it can feel pretty disappointing and discouraging. Those same people lack clarity in their messaging, and generally have a difficult time explaining what they do and why anyone should buy what they’re selling. I find the the key to succeeding as an energy worker or a holistic practitioner is honing in on your message and target audience and being able to explain not only what you do but how you’re going to make someone’s life easier, what problem are you going to solve for them. And, then staying focused and dedicated to your craft. Lastly, remembering why you started your work in the first place will help carry you on the tough days. I think, as entrepreneurs, we’ve all experienced questioning our chosen path and debated whether to call it quits. It’s important to remember why you started it so you can know why you should keep going.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Developing genuine connections with others is probably the most important thing that helped me build my reputation. In any holistic or healing work, your clients want to feel heard, feel seen, feel understood and if you can honestly create this space for them and treat them as important members of your tribe instead of clients, you can develop not only deep bonds but also a great reputation as some who cares as in invested in their clients success. I’ve also been able to create incredible relationships with other practitioners who benefited from working with me and were happy to recommend me to their clients. It’s always the reciprocal energy that creates most profound results. I’ve been a cheerleader for everyone I meet as I truly believe that when we are all the best versions of ourselves, everyone benefits as a result.
