We were lucky to catch up with Winter Clark recently and have shared our conversation below.
Winter, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
Being an entrepreneur and following my passion is the biggest risk I’ve ever taken! It’s not for the faint of heart and it’s one of the most rigorous, soul-expanding, spiritually growing and heart-rending things I’ve done. Deciding to open my own practice with services that help people locally and globally has been endlessly satisfying and yet there are still moments that come up that challenge me to continue to transform.
Whenever the energy of my business wants to evolve there’s a risk involved. The resistance that comes up with that risk reminds me of the reward on the other side of that uncertainty.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?
As an embodiment activation guide my lineage led me into the craft of doing spiritual healing work. I decided to turn it into a business when I was ready to provide support to others seeking self-knowing, healing, integration and transformation. Helping people who want answers but also providing the wellness tools to improve their situation is my jam!
I’m most pleased with the spiritual life coaching certification I developed (The SoulCall Method™️ is trademarked now!) but I’m also thrilled about the Quantum Wellness retreat I’m curating for May in Colorado Springs and the wonderful pathways I’ve created to support those who wish to explore their unique embodiment process.
As a hereditary intuitive I’ve expanded my growth through various modalities of wellness such as Human Design, EFT, shamanism, flower essences, the Art of Transformational coaching, psychic mediumship and Usui Reiki to create my own unique coaching practice. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the effects my business has had and how it continues to be a resource for the community!
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I deeply appreciate and value all of the business trainings I’ve received over the years as an entrepreneur. It has taught me well about structure, systems, forecasting, demographics, markets and more. However, as my own business has grown, expanded, pivoted and continues to evolve I discovered that some of the traditional business rules didn’t quite work for me and rewrote them a bit:
– Your audience will continue to shift and change as you continue to learn and grow.
– What worked at the beginning of the business will not necessarily continue to support you.
– Sometimes you have to bypass the “rules” in favor of instinct and intuition.
We’re in a new age of service-based business and the market is more savvy than it was years ago when business programs and courses were created. People are learning to follow what’s right for them and create new designs for their business models. This is why I include some new foundational business elements in The SoulCall Method™️ certification for spiritual life coach training.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Finding the voice of my brand based on who I am, what I provide and the expertise of what I do while keeping in mind the issues my market struggles with has helped me build my reputation within my market.
It can be all too easy to get caught up in the slickness and excitement of flashy advertisements but I’ve found that keeping it simple and allowing the authenticity of who you are (you’re a human too!) has been the best way to build trust.
