We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Zion Vercetti. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Zion below.
Zion , appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
Back in 2012 , me and my middle school boys had a rap group called the trill image where everything originated , we always use to record songs off the phone off this app called garage band shortly after that I met a close friend, his rap name was Fng Bart who at the time wanted to take rap seriously , took me to my first studio. At that time I was still learning myself and figuring out if thats what I really wanted to do in life if it was really for me or what not. years later Bart passed away to gun violence , he was chasing his dreams and somebody who was envious took his life. That situation really opened my eyes and made me want to pick up where he left off and keep his name alive so im doing this for him.

Zion , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I go by the name ZionVercetti. Zion meaning heavenly Vercetti Meaning gift. My name speaks for itself and my music. What really sets me apart from everybody and everything in this industry is my energy and my aura that I bring with anything I do that really brings my creativity out! My music style is really alternate hip hop which means multiple styles the way I show my versatility has range thats what separates me from everyone else. The things ive been most proud of since ive been doing music is remaining who I am and not changing it for nobody’s liking , always believing myself even when it feels like no progress is being made no matter the views or insights I get im still going hard and rocking out shows even if its 2 people in the audience.I want everybody to know that im here for the long run, they are going to habe to put me 6 feet deep for me to ever stop and even that wont stop me because real music lasts forever.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
A year ago I met this super creative person named beni who owns this podcast called ” CAPTURE THE PEOPLE ” there mission is to help artists in the underground scene get noticed and build them a fanbase and help with their careers and hopefully change some artists lives , I always called him the atlanta no jumper and he was gonna be bigger then lyrical lemonade. I later met Alex who is the Dj for CTP whos been been keeping me going and helping me with my career aswell. I did my first show for them and its been up ever since!

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
In my eyes the most rewarding thing in being a music artist is the love you receive on your craft/talent, it means so much to me because back then when I was first starting out you always have your doubts about yourself always overthinking if people are actually going to like what you are putting out but I mean all it takes is for one person to love your music and thats it it then begins to be contagious.
