Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jordan Galbreth. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Jordan, thanks for joining us today. Learning the craft is often a unique journey from every creative – we’d love to hear about your journey and if knowing what you know now, you would have done anything differently to speed up the learning process.
I learned how to write songs from poetry and other artists in multiple genres. Once I found my voice I was able to figure out how to make the lyrics fit my cadence. I wish when I was younger I spent more time learning the lyrics and recording off a memory to make sure I had a perfect delivery. Working out was a big obstacle for me because I didn’t want to do it, and when I first started doing shows I would be tired on stage.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
My name is Jordan, and I’m a rapper by the name of JordanLivinGood. I grew up in Killeen, TX, and have been making music since I was 10yrs old. My older cousin got me into music because he was making music in my room, and I wanted to give it a try. I solve a problem by motivating people to do what they want to do in life. I have multiple motivational songs. The thing I am most proud of is being able to impact people’s lives positively with my music.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
Ways people can support music artists is by coming to their shows, and buying merch. Most of our money as artists comes from those. Streams are great, but they don’t pay music artists that much, and I think fans are not aware of that.
Is there a mission driving your creative journey?
What drives me to keep creating music is just simply how much I love doing it and the joy it brings to me. Music is also a way for me to vent.
