We recently connected with Calah ‘Cae’ Shields and have shared our conversation below.

Calah ‘Cae’, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard.

Haus of Shiéc. stands apart from other brands by being a sustainable slow fashion brand, We combat the societal norm of fast fashion which equates to slave labor by acknowledging and emphasizing the energy that is sewn into each handmade garment and transferred into the world. I am actively sewing love and good energy into the world. While creating an experience that my clients can have to express their own creativity exercise luxury and see themselves in their clothing without having to change anything about themselves. I give the Shiéc. community the option of empowerment to be apart of designing something custom to self. I want anyone who comes into contact with my creations to feel something, it’s bigger than just clothes for me.

The best way to describe my clothing pieces are Shiéc. (pronounced Chic). They’re bold and vibrant while a vibe. You’ll definitely stand out in a good way when wearing a Shiéc. look and will FEEL good! We are working to build a community that will connect with people around the world through the energy we intentionally sew into each piece.

Calah ‘Cae’, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Haus of Shiéc. Is a custom clothing company that provides handmade pieces and luxury custom experiences for our supporting community. We acknowledge that energy does transfer so each piece has love, care and good energy intentionally sewn into it, that our clients and others can feel when looking at and trying on the pieces. We want to not only make you look good we want you to feel good, about yourself, life etc. its a true empowering experience.

In addition to dropping collections and one of one pieces my brand also offers the select option to place custom orders during different seasons of the year. Every season is Shiéc. season. What I am most proud of about my brand is that we highlight the essence of natural beauty in all its shapes and forms and introduce this concept of unfiltered fashion. You don’t have to change anything about yourself to wear beautiful clothes, with us you just have to put it on. I love to see the Shiéc. effect with every client in their pieces or when they first get them, you can see the love and good energy start to gravitate to and radiate from them authentically when they wear my pieces and then it starts to spread around them. Thats why I do what I do.

Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?

The most effective strategy for growing my brand is being my own walking billboard. I am always wearing my brand. Everyday, every outfit I incorporate something Shiéc. It’s truly a lifestyle brand. When I wear my brand out I get compliments all of the time my favorite response has become “Thank you, I made it” immediately after I am always asked for my website or social media basically a way that they can get in contact with me to purchase, support or learn more about my brand. It is very effective and a genuine experience. I also post on my social media platforms in pieces I want to highlight, sometimes people just need to see a look on to fall in love with it. I put my piece on and it comes to life.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

I believe that creating is part of my purpose and what I was created by my Creator to do so that fuels me to walk this journey out. In addition to walking in my purpose, my goal is to continue to build legacy. I want to create something that not only creates for and empowers others but creates opportunities for my future family and those that come after me aswell. I want to build things for my children to inherit and something that they can be proud of, while also being something that I am proud of.
