We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ismael Voltaire. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ismael below.
Hi Ismael, thanks for joining us today. What do you think Corporate America gets wrong in your industry? Any stories or anecdotes that illustrate why this matters?
Today, the drive for people to start a business is vibrant and strong; however, there is a lack of professional services for aiding novel entrepreneurs at an affordable price. Formulating a strong business model surpassing three years of operations often requires hiring professionals with extensive business experience. However, most consulting firms primarily target large corporations with large budgets. The lack of consultation for novel entrepreneurs limits their ability to pursue the “American Dream.” What corporations get wrong in my industry is dismissing the ideas of ordinary people. I believe that anyone’s idea can be the next “Amazon” or “Facebook”; people often just need guidance in successfully pursuing their passion. That is what differentiates Voltaire Consulting Group from our competitors. We understand that clients may not have all the answers, so we find those answers for them at an affordable price.
Ismael, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Ismael Voltaire. I hold two Master’s Degrees, including an MBA and MS. My company is Voltaire Consulting Group, where we help individuals turn their business ideas into fully running and operating companies. I teach business and biology courses as a University Professor when I am not helping people bring their dreams to reality. I further engulf myself in the realm of business consulting as a Ph.D. student obtaining my Doctorate in Business. My drive to continually surround myself with the theory of business stems from my desire to transform the lives of my clients. This year alone, we have secured over $200,000 in bank loans and investor funding for clients. Our services include business plans, pitch decks, industry analysis reports, feasibility studies, and marketing plans. The cornerstone of our company is affordable pricing, quick delivery, and high quality. We continue to bring unmatched services to our clients by adhering to this company’s vision.
How’d you meet your business partner?
Rayan Almathhur and I founded Voltaire Consulting Group (VCG). I met Rayan while pursuing my first Master’s Degree (MS in Biotechnology). With our program being relatively small, it was surprising that Rayan and I did not speak for at least the first few months of class beginning. However, since we both practically lived in the gym, it didn’t occur to me that just saying, “hey, I’m Ismael, want to get a lift in after class tomorrow” would allow me to gain a lifelong brother just like that! Since then, Rayan and I have pursued multiple ventures, earning large profits and even international medical device patents. Voltaire Consulting Group was our next venture and actually came naturally. We both have a passion for business, which is apparent in Rayan’s unmatched skill for operational improvement and my keen sense of establishing a long-lasting business model. With the proper checks and balances, we are living proof that best friends can also be ideal business partners.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
My life is defined as a battle of two loves; Science and Business. I remember when I was a sophomore competing against the university “Book Buy Back Program” and purchasing over $3,500 worth of books from students from all over campus just to be sold for double the amount online. My operations became so large that I began hiring other students to purchase books for me. Unfortunately, book buyback week started the same week as finals. So I would be taking physics, chemistry, and biology exams all over campus while finding time to calculate my profit margins and student worker wages. Today, I have found the ideal balance as a Biologist, Scientist, and Business expert. I have even followed my passion by having both a Masters in Science and a separate Masters in Business. I currently teach Biology courses at a Florida-based University, conduct neuroscience research in a biomedical lab, and am the Program Director for a Healthcare Management program. Lastly, I am beginning my Doctorate in Business degree in Spring 2023. My story is not so much as a pivot but as discovering the ideal balance between Science and Business.
